...^^^lol...what about chastising the people who pointed that out last year and again this year before the season even started?
Posted this awhile back but the Yankees might have made out better keeping Cervelli with Romine or Murphy as back up. I liked Cervelli, great attitude, hustled, but again the Yankees had to have Martin whom I did not care for at all. When they brought in McCann that left Cervelli as back up so I was glad he got to play in Pittsburgh. I like how McCann has handled the staff but his bat gets flaky at times. Like it when he dumps those opposite field hits. Nunez was good with the bat but had an iron glove, but then again difficult to crack that infield of the Chemist and Jeter. Probably could have gotten more had they traded Nunez and especially Hughes. Yep old Cashie is a real Gem.
Funny guy. Lyin' Ted and Hillary have nothing on you. Yep, I gladly "chastized" your pal last year for calling a team with the 4th best record in the league "pathetic". Now put an egg in yer shoe and beat it.
...you've totally lost it...not that you ever had it. Who said anything about being "pathetic"? ...evidently in your alternate universe, saying that a team is "not very good" is tantamount to saying they are "pathetic"?...exactly how does that work? ...were you born obtuse, or is it an acquired trait?...it's simple, stay on topic and keep things in their proper context or don't reply.
you've totally lost it...not that you ever had it. ...evidently in your alternate universe, saying that a team is "not very good" is tantamount to saying they are "pathetic"?...exactly how does that work? ...were you born the way you are, or is it an acquired trait? _____________ Don't give me any of your bullshit about losing it, or alternate universe. Last year I took issue with one of your pals for saying the Yanks were "pathetic" .....that was HIS word, not mine. I never said last year's team was very good...... And I noticed you couldn't resist beating your chest about the Eovaldi trade being a bad trade.... But once again you played your lame little game of twisting words around...or maybe you simply aren't able to accurately read my words or understand anything which doesn't fit your preferred narrative... Lmao, funny guy...you actually believe you're sitting in the big chair with some kind of superior knowledge....lmao At the time of the Eovaldi trade, I said I understood Cashman's line of thinking. He did trade away a "fine player" (my description) in Prado along with Phelps for the package of Eovaldi, Jones and German. YOU were the one who made Jones out to be more than he was.... ...yes Cashman was looking for LH pop off the bench who can play 1b and RF in Jones, but the centerpiece was Eovaldi a young very hard thrower who they believed could turn the corner and develop into an effective SP for years to come. He hasn't and is still the same pitcher he's always been. It was a gamble as are many trades....but nobody ever said at the time it was a GOOD trade including me, so stop the bullshit. And Domingo German was also included which became a bone of contention for you. You thought he was just a throw-in of little consequence but at the time he was a 21 year old SP with a 2.33 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in five minor league seasons. I also understood why Cashman would want him as part of the deal. Maybe YOU think it was stupid or irresponsible trying to get both Eovaldi and German....and it hasn't worked out. Bad trade.
...and there you have it, folks...I rest my case. ...as far as you accusing ME of "making Jones out to be more than he was", don't take this the wrong way, but, you're a fucking liar. ...Find one post of me pimping Jones and I'll never post again. And if you're denying that you were not justifying the trade and defending Cashman (as usual) and telling us how "GOOD" German, Jones, and Eovaldi could be, well, again, you're a fucking liar.
