He will be available and he'd be a good fit but we are not getting him for Connaughton and picks. They'd ask for someone better in return, I think Davis at $7m a year could be a good option for them, add Vonleh as they like these projects and throw Cleveland's pick and they might consider. There'll be more teams willing to trade their assets for Vucevic if they make him available.
They want a go to scorer. The best bet is a 3-Team trade with SAC. POR Gets: Nikola Vucevic, C.J. Watson ORL Gets: Rudy Gay, Mason Plumlee SAC Gets: Moe Harkless (S&T), '17 ORL 1st, '18 CLE 1st
Take a second and look at the thread we are in. I guess you are a rookie and not yet familiar with what goes on around here. Somebody get the HCP.
We've literally lost no one, added Evan turner (top 5 in 6th man of the year voting btw..where was crabby?) yet somehow we are worse? Ok.
We literally could bring back everyone but Kaman and Roberts at this point. Depth could be like this PG Dame/Turner/Montero SG CJ/Crabbe/Pat SF Harkless/Henderson/Layman PF Aminu/Vonleh C Plumlee/Meyers/Cliff That's a better team than last year.
Not to mention we would have more tradeable assets. It's easier to trade players with years on their deals now than expiring, that's for sure.
The problem with this trade market is that every players value is augmented. You can't pull off a lopsided trade because there is literally such a small pool of talent. Back in the 80's or 90's, the Blazers would have a lot more leeway. Now even the shitter GM knows what they have. We aren't lucky ebough to pull off a lopined deal.
If any of the three RFAs sign offer sheets, we might have to let them walk. If all 3 do, we're likely to lose all 3.
Th offer sheet would have to be turned in before Turners. I hope someone has the sanity to tell the RFAs to wait an hour.
