Wow Minnesota is going to be so nice their stacked

What the hell are we doing? God the lottery and trading KLove has helped them tremendously since they got a new front office

I forgot about Jared Sullinger, how much do you think we would have to offer him to get Boston to not match? I'd rather have him than Meyers.

Sullinger is an interesting one. If Durant chooses Boston then they just about have to let Sullinger go IIRC.

I'd rather have Olynyk. But, Sullinger is a nice guy to have, he's a stretch 4 that can actually go down low and bang.

Might be a perfect starter alongside Plumlee

I'm digging this idea of Sullinger potentially. It could prove that patience and not signing guys like Aldrich for the sake of signing guys could pay off. Of course a lot of chips have to fall into place for that to happen but they could. Durant to Boston the Gasol to the Spurs. Then make an offer to Sullinger. He's not a shot blocker but appears to be a decent defender.

It seems like we were the least active team in the draft and the least active team in free agency.

C'mon Neil, I know you're not just standing pat. I keep hitting up Realgm to see some kind of news, only to see other bigs being gobbled up by teams....

This is Neil's tactic though he sits back and waits for something to slip through the cracks. Waits for an RFA to be renounced to make room erc etc.

Olshey appears to be waiting for bargain leftovers.

I wonder if he also shops at Grocery Outlet?

Maybe Neil didn't take his manic depression Meds and he is currently at his home watching back to the future 3 on Netflix with cheeto fingers.

    That would explain some things.

Its a tactic that could easily blowup in his face. Neil's done great things with this franchise, but were at a point where a couple solid pieces could really improve the team. I'm thinking if he strikes out in free agency which looks like a possibility, there might be a blockbuster trade up his sleeve, a sign and trade of one of our 3 free agents and possibly Plumlee or Aminu.

It sounds like a lot of fans want to see a move just to see a move and I get it I'm impatient too but Olshey has earned my trust. The season doesn't start tomorrow ya know?

That being said, I think his next move(s) will come through trades. Could explain the delay. Trades aren't made in a day.

I am not sure waiting can get to the point of blowing up in his face for the simple fact he was turned down for the very best FA's, lost out on a couple of the ones at the next tier, and signed one who can help. Waiting now is not that big of deal because what's left is average at best. Does he have that much too lose right now by waiting?

Exactly. At this point, Olshey can try for a guy like Gasol, who may have enough in the tank to help the Blazers nudge their way into the upper half of the West, or he can look for a big trade. The other remaining guys available in FA aren't likely to be better alternatives than simply re-signing our own RFAs.

Well, I thought one of our biggest needs coming into the offseason was a rim protector. I'm watching those type guys being signed left and right, bolstering teams depth. I'll have patience and see how it all plays out. But, as of right now if I had to rate our offseason, with the cap flexibility that we had and coming into a win-now period with the team, it would be a C-. We've added a little bit of depth, because I see Turner as a little bit of an upgrade over Henderson.
