Neil better be on the phones to make a trade, there's a lot of unbalanced rosters and teams trying to free up cap space.

    .
Olshey always talks about adding pieces for future trades/value ETC. how can U not look at Aldrich in this environment at a bit over 7 mil per as a great piece for now and possibly for trading later on? Thibs knows defense and look who he went after, maybe Stotts and Olshey are clueless or don't care about D, just pisses me off

If Olshey truly thinks that Vonleh/Plumlee is a respectable starting frontcourt for next year, then I will have lost a lot of faith in him.

A pure run protector with no offense is worthless to Terry Stotts. Ed Davis who is closest to that at least has the ability to score a bit.

Aldrich for only 7 mil? We paid more than double that for Turner, and I'd much rather have had Aldrich. Why didn't we sign him?

With Mahinmi and Nicholson headed to the wizards, might Washington be up to trade Gortat

Yeah, which is just as scary in some ways. Too little size, strength, or rim protection for my liking. If that's the best we can do then I'd truly rather just see a blockbuster trade go down where we sacrifice some depth for a guy like Cousins.

Can we stop, for the love of everything, talking about Cousins? It would take CJ, at minimum.

A bunch of draft picks and a few of our young guys could potentially get it done. We'd likely need someone to break out a little more this upcoming season before the Kings would really entertain the idea (Vonleh, Leonard, Harkless), but I don't think the Kings are trading Cousins anyways until he absolutely demands it. Will probably happen in the next year.

It's a trade with massive "blow up in your face" potential, but I'd make that deal without a second thought.

If they put him on the market they will get some very good offers, we will have to offer CJ to match.

With Mahinmi and Aldrich now gone I think it's safe to say Portland are not going to get a center. Baffling to say the least, reminds me of the times when Man Utd needed a midfielder but Ferguson would consistently refuse to bring one.

Because those are the only two options. I can name at least 5 centers better than those two that could probably be had in a trade.

If only we had the same success as United under Ferguson...
