The Detroit Tigers completed a four game sweep of the local Tampa Bay Team, love to see them lose. The Mets also completed a four game sweep of the Chicago Cubs. A couple of weeks ago the Cubs per the experts had the '16 championship in the bag. Since that time the Cubs have been swept by the Mets and Cards. Funny how journalists write stuff like the Cubs pitching was superior to the Mets just not this series.

The cutie Cubbies are a too obvious choice to win the World Series. The field is
wide open. The thing about sports journalists is 'whatever or whoever is hot
at the time, that's who they roll with'. It'll change least a dozen times before the
actual World Series! They are the real chameleons of the sports' business.

Like most GMs, they cannot substantiate why they made a specific pick. That's
sports for you..........it's a crazy world out there! LOL

Yep, two of those who bet on the Cubs of 015, Marty McFly and Biff, ... (the Professor was pre-occupied)

the beauty of the game, any thing can happen at any time, well, almost any thing, ie- its beyond time for this bad team of ours to start beating anyone, any Team(s) on a consistent basis.... I think I've already given up on this group of misfits....

their odds of winning a Pennant are less than Gilligan being rescued from His Island....

Cage you're forgetting, this is an even year which means the world series goes through the Giants who've won it in 2010, 2012 & 2014

^^^^^^Oh, Rick.......your Giants are never out of the loop. You have a great crew in that
organization.........whereas my Yankees have a group of numnuts masquerading as owners and
    GM!

    Ditto Rick-

However since the Yanx stink to high hell, and since I continue to punish myself for watching every single Yanx game(s).

I've got to see at least one good game a day, while Frisco is playing lights out, as are several other teams. The only Bums games I've watched this year have been with CK on the mound. Saw a few others, just enough to say the Doyers have no Pitching with CK on the DL, and the team is going nowhere fast. Halo's; same dilemma, tho' Trout's a treat to see any time....

SF wins the NL West soundly....

As one could tell from the original post I am no fan of that smug individual Joe Maddon. Nor am I much of a fan of National league ball however do respect the organization and execution of the St. Louis Cardinals. In light of recent seasons though I'm embarrassed by the only team I follow and as Cage pointed out the ownership and brass who are always prepared to be Halloween Costume Winners. At times I have thought of the "Christmas Story imagining they punishment meted out to the tadpoles and Cashman by the spirits of Yankee owners and GMs of the past.
