    I hear ya.
    Hicks has gotten enough ABs to show something.
    He has definitely been a significant drag on the offense.
    I still believe he may need a few hundred ABS to get a better indication, he's had 168 ABs so far this year - last year he had 352 but no doubt so far he's been a big disappointment. I thought he would do much better.

    Meanwhile, Gardner sucks. Get him the fuck out of the 2 spot.
    Hicks' failures is a double edged sword- if he was showing anything I would put him in LF and turn Gardner into the back-up LF/CF.
    When Beltran gets a day off, Hicks moves to RF and Gardner starts in LF.

    If I see Gardner hit another weak grounder to 2B, I'm going to vomit.

    Yep, he had a big day...also hitless.
    The third guy was out at first base but Yanks didn't or couldn't challenge it...one E cost the team an unearned run.
    Let him get it out of his system- the kid has been their best all around player this year....let's hope he doesn't get a case of the yips and it becomes an adventure.:abeer:

    ...Hicks now has nearly 1000 career ABs...and he's never shown to be any good at the plate.
