Anxious to see our summer league team. I think we forget how long Cliff Alexander is. Sure he is short and raw but he is young, physical, and athletic with a standing reach of 9'1.5". That is a taller reach than anyone else on the team. Granted that is not saying a lot, but he is a lot longer and cheaper than someone like Jared Sullinger. Not much offense, but maybe he can add some rim protection. Here are the pros listed last year in summer league by Boston: High Motor Rebounding Shot Blocking Defensive Commitment - Wingspan
Positive - OKC is significantly weaker (although I think they're still good enough to compete for a playoff spot.) Positive - we should be able to bring back most of the team. Positive - Dame & CJ should only get better.
I think if we retain our RFA's, we have a chance to be the 3rd best team in the West. Our chemistry and internal development could be key in taking this team to the next step.
At least we aren't the Mavs... Best player is 38 years old. Just signed Harrison fucking Barnes to a max contract. Dealt a pick to get Andrew Bogut when the Warriors were BEGGING someone to take him.
Yeah I think Cuban was like fuck it, if we're going down, the rest of the west is going down with us....muwawawawa
The Blazers will once again be under the radar in the west and the chip on Dame's shoulder will fuel him to once again over achieve
Considering all of the players we've lost over the last couple of years for almost zero compensation (or negative compensation) we're going to be surprisingly competitive with all of the other teams not named Golden State.
The Skip Baylesses of the world will underestimate us, because other teams made Big Moves and We Didn't. Evan Turner will be better for us than the Skip Baylesses think, and losing Hendo won't matter much in the grand scheme. Regardless, the next two years are still about slowly building up while waiting for California to fall into sea.
