this guy never plays for Phoenix and he just rides the bench. You think we could get him? I know we have a lot of point guards, but a solid vet like him would be better than Vspan or JL3 off the bench

I think your better off with the pgs you have right now than adding someone like Banks. I don't see how he helps you.
I don't like the fit of Marcus Banks. Rockets need a very good defensive PG (especially when the top 4 teams have Nash, Terry, Parker and D. Williams as their PG's) and a PG who can take smart shots, hit open shots, and do a decent job at playmaking. Sounds like a lot, but a player like Bob Sura was for the Rockets would be the best fit.

He's not a natural playmaker. He's a defensive specialist, very quick, and can really only score off penetration. I definitely agree that Marcus isn't the best fit for Houston, and I think Van Gundy would get very frustrated with him at times. Also, you nailed it: Bob Sura was perfect for this team. He's "trying" to come back, but like El Temible said above me, he's done.
Banks doesn't really play too much with Phoneix but he really isn't that bad of a point guard, but by saying that I think the Rockets should stick with their team right now they have some good team chemistry going.
Marcus Banks isnt a solid vet by any stretch of the imagination. And I think Rafer is better than him right now anyways, so I wouldnt trade for him. Like moses said, the Rockets are playing good right now, and it wouldnt be best to mess with team chemistry. Once Yao comes back, the Rockets are going to be even better, so why do a trade? Although Banks' talent is just rotting on the Suns bench, Houston isnt the best fit for him.
