I like him a lot, but I also like Harkless a lot. And Uncle Festus does seem to be injured a lot.

I guess Layman is going to make Harkless redundant anyway...

Poor Moe - made the fatal mistake of making friends with Lillard.

You guys really think he is an elite defender when healthy? Are there stats that back that up? He never really stood out to me.
What are his strengths and weaknesses?

So they will dump a young high potential guy in Harkless to sign a guy who has played less than 100 games in the last 3 years? Fuck

I don't think Quick knows how the Blazers front office would make room to sign him. I think he knows what's happening with Ezeli and then is grabbing at straws for how the Blazers would get it done. Lets wait and see before crucifying Olshey.

This big worry is he played 14mins a game last year, 11 mins a game the year before and he has bad knees.

Do you risk bad knees on double the minutes?

    For $18-20mill a year?

I would run... run far away from that deal.

I dig that Ezeli's wearing a red and black polo though.

I think they know Mo is going to get a ridiculous offer that we won't match anyway...Lakers have the hots for him and he was holding that Hire Me sign with his agent ...just hope Ezeli is fully robocopped back into a functioning human again...maybe the Warriors fixed him

Quick knows jack shit; he got a tip that an NBA player was going to arrive and turned it into The Decision. He ruins everything.

Quick is admittedly not a salary cap numbers guy. He would be the first to tell you he is just guessing at how all the contracts would work out. What he is talking about is at least in the right direction though unless there is a trade and he did say "..it could be." when asked if someone would have to be renounced. Portland just doesn't have the cap room for anything near $15-20M unless Meyers or Harkless is renounced.

He's not getting $18M. I expect 3 years for $13M with incentives for games played.

I will reprat as nauseum; "Teams that have significant capspace left already have their C's, so there is really not much competition IMO and Neil has to know this, I think/hope 10-13 mil per yr tops

I'll bet you a beer that the amount will be far closer to $18 then $13.

Again, who are we bidding against?

GS can't match if they want Durant so he's a UFA. And all the teams with any sort of capspace now don't need a C. And if they do need a C, they don't have capspace.

    12-15 mil should do it.
