    No, it will be higher, just not as high as previously projected. Current salary cap is $94mill.

    This is not inconsequential, in terms of our projected tax charge. Makes it even more imperative that we deal Plumlee if we sign Ezeli.

    If someone will actually give us a pick for him im all for it, even though i like plumlee. Just makes financial and asset sense.

    It really don't matter there will be so many teams that will go in the luxury tax next year that includes us due to this year big jump in salary cap. Anyway I believe next year is the year that the union can opt out there agreement with the owners I see lock out coming.

    Wonder if KD to GS has any role in this reduction. Maybe they project lack of interest in the NBA in a lot of other markets?

    I don't know the answer to that, but ESPN posted an article talking about how likely GS is to break up their 4-headed monster after next year due to the lowered cap. Durant, Curry and AI are all free agents next year and at least 2 of them will command max money (in addition to Thompson's and Green's huge contracts). This GS experiment may be short-lived at best.
