Solid career, a little disappointing as we all kinda hoped for a Westbrook-esque career for him but solid nonetheless.

But if we are talking about players who dominated SL, Josh Selby also comes to mind. It's really not the greatest place to judge talent. I mean some guys have "it" though, and it's undeniable, obviously none of our guys have that. That's okay though, we don't have another Dame on our summer league team.

Predicting someone is gonna get paid a lot and predicting someone leaving in free agency isn't the same as saying Neil will factor a summer league scrimmage into whether or bit to match a near max contract. Apples to oranges.

    Okay.

How many times have you interviewed NBA GM's?

How many NBA practices have you been to?

How many times have you talked to scouts and coaches?

I base my opinions on decades of experience. As I said, I call it like I see it.

LOL. If we match because Pat Connaughton didn't hit 3 more shots to shoot an efficient percentage in one summer league game then that's comical.

I didn't know seeing NBA practices gave you insight on front office decisions.

I didn't know that interviews helped you understand what decisions are made privately behind closed doors.

I didn't know talking to scouts in the past gave you inside knowledge on the decision regarding Crabbe's offer sheet.

    Oh wait, they don't...

That's exactly what we were hearing about Allen Crabbe for his first two seasons.

Yeah that's why I said "might be". He deserves more time before judgments are made though.

My point, is that if you spend enough time around the NBA, you gain perspective on how things work. You meet the people who make these decisions. You gain insight on how personnel moves are made.

Yes, I think if someone had stepped up and showed that they were better than the competition, it might have made Neil's decision easier.

Obviously summer league isn't over. These guys can still have a good SL. But we have to decide about Crabbe tomorrow.

And look at those players that I listed. Claver is out of the league. Leonard is still a huge fucking questionmark. Wright never became a reliable rotation player. Crabbe didn't become a part of the rotation for another full season after that.

Barton = contender for 6th man of the year in Denver

TRob = starting for Brooklyn at the end of last year.

Freeland = I'm still bummed about Joel. He was a solid guy. Too bad he couldn't stay healthy.

Didn't watch the game but I'M SURE Pat cemented his spot in the lineup to replace Crabbe. I'm so glad WE CAN PUT THAT BEHIND US. He MUST shoot well enough to be in the rotation. PHEW!

(Puts fingers in ears and closes eyes.)

La la la la la la la! I can't hear you! Everything is fine! We can afford to lose Crabbe! Everything is fine!

The thing is, one day someone can drop 30, one day they can play bad and shoot poorly. You don't know what you have based off a sooner league game. It's not a big enough sample size at all. Definitely not a big enough sample size to make a huge roster decision. Even if Connaughton dropped 30, it's still just Summer League. Anyone can drop 30. Doesn't mean it translates. Doesn't mean that you should let go of your 6th man because of it and just hand Connaughton the minutes.

Lmao Crabbe's better than Barton, Leonard's better than T-Rob, and Freeland couldn't even stay in the league.

But instead of admitting you were wrong you still try to twist logic to support yourself.

T-Rob isn't even a question mark. He sucks. He's barely in the league. Staying for the Brooklyn (lol) Nets doesn't validate anything.

Crabbe is better than Barton? Barton came in 4th in 6th man of the year voting. Crabbe was 16th.

Leonard was horrible last year. TRob was on fire at the end of the season.

Freeland is out of the league, but he was part of our rotation, and he was playing solid minutes until he got hurt. :dunno:

How was I wrong? I was talking about our shitty bench (one of the worst in the league at that time) two years ago.

Edit- sorry, it was THREE years ago. That post was from three fucking years ago lol

It's gonna be funny if Pat scores 20+ next game and looks really good. The over reactions on both sides will be fun.

That's because Barton's game is that of a 6th man spark plug and he got tons of touches playing for a bad Denver team. Leonard shot 45%/37% last year and battled injuries (the excuse you use for Freeland). Robinson had a couple good games for a super-shitty Nets team. They're not close.

You're vague, while also cherry picking small things and overemphasizing them combining them with twisted logic to try to support your opinions..

He was starting because he was hurt. Here you are again cherry picking your small sample sizes. Dropping an average of 15/12 for 6 games on a team fill of borderline D-Leaguers doesn't mean shit.

I can find 10 other 6 game stretches where T-Rob was buried on the bench on a shitty team.
