Anyone who cracks on A-hole will find me in agreement. For all those on the old boards who chose A-hole over Jeter damn did you end up wrong. What has always mystified me is how an organization like the Yankees could not get rid of him after all his BS. Trade Tex, don't know who would want him with his injury bugs this year. If the Yankees let him ride out his contract have him work with Ref on defense making him (Tex) useful as well as ornamental. Eovaldi to the pen was written up by River Avenue Blues as Nate the reliever not much different than Nate the starter. The Blues also mentioned today that Sabathias new found success has apparently departed. He like Ellsbury, Gardner, and Headley probably have little trade value. Take that 8 off of those uniforms.

Michael I'm in full agreement on all counts. Except perhaps gardner only because you know some team will be looking for a leadoff hitter. As of now I think the best trade chip is Chapman.

Being a "rental" Chapman should be the first one out the door. I remember the White Sox had interest a couple years ago, but the Yankees extended his contract with a raise. Since that time he's not been consistent. I'll have to admit to diminished game interest this season, not sure what contender would want Gardner.

...Gardner still has value both offensively and defensively...though his number are down a bit he still leads the Yanx (yeah, I know) with a .356 OBP...and don't forget, in addition to being a very good LFer, he's just as good if not better in CF, IMO. And his raw speed on the base paths doesn't hurt either.

...I dunno, maybe the best scenario would be a "package deal" with Gardner and 1 or 2 other players with the Yanx maybe eating a portion of the contracts...Chapman, Gardner, and maybe CC if he'll waive his NTC.

...the Cubs would be a good fi because they have the money and the prospects, Gardner in CF would be an upgrade, and the Cubs could certainly use a closer, and CC might help them too. (Yanx pay a portion of CC's remaining salary this year and next)...Cardinals might work too.
...Dodgers also have the money and trade chips...same with the Nationals.

Haven't seen much of that raw speed in a few years now, hell he's only got one SB in his last 27 games.

Gardner o me is like Tex both up on defense, down on stick. In Gardners case I sometimes wonder about his base running instincts, know he has the speed. Ones abilities and attitude could instantly improve on a winner. That's how it used to be with the Yankees, a man would come aboard, put on the pinstripes and it was akin to Clark Kent coming out in Pinstripes to kick some ass.

...HA!...that's why I chose to refer to his raw speed in general instead of his base stealing mentality...he's been driving me crazy for years.

...maybe he'd be better suited for a NL team.

I've said it for the past few years now, the team SHOULD have brought someone like Henderson onto the team during spring training to work with him.

...Rick, for me, base stealing has as much to do with an almost arrogant "attitude" as it does with speed...kinda like "I'm stealing 2B and there's nothing you can do about it"...and when you do add the element of speed you end up with someone like Henderson, or Brock, or Wills, or Trout or Altuve. Gardner has the speed, but he lacks the will or "attitude".

As Jeter used to quote: "We're the Yankees, they hate us everywhere we go". That's because the Yankees had the cool swagger, we're going to kick your ass today!

Artie Lange, lol, who gives a shit what Artie Lange has to say?
    Old news. Another sanctimonious asshole.
Let him take a couple of more hits of cocaine.
I've got news for Artie Lange- as long as Arod is wearing the Yankee uniform, I will gladly "cheer" when he hits a HR just like any other.

More from the immortal Artie Lange-
"Now, I don’t relate to the Yankees. What kid in Jersey relates to the Yankees? Or Long Island,” Lange said. “They’re all multi-billionaire corporate jet-flying Dominican guys. They don’t care about the legacy of the Yankees. They just get a check, wear their hats on the side — I want to kill them.”
    Yeah I know, he's a comedian.
He's hilarious- any more like him at home?

I guess Artie Lange really has more serious issues than Arod and the "Yankee Legacy".
Mickey Mantle was a lying cheating drunken dooshbag off the field AND was under the effects on the field....Babe Ruth was an insubordinate drunken jerk, notorious reckless driver... amoung other things,
... and assaulted an umpire on the field.
    How's that---> funny isn't it?

I'd like to give Artie Lange a kick in his fat ass.

Cubs interested in Gardner? He's probably an upgrade for them in LF because they have Fowler in CF. Maybe the Yanks can pry a fairly good prospect or possibly more if Yanks sweeten the pot.

Whitesox interested in Sanchez - lol, if I were them I would also be interested in Sanchez because he's probably better than any of their current catchers.

And- looks like Davidoff had some time on his hands devoting an article about possibililies of trading a vetran player (Tex) who has a no trade clause, is batting below .190 with a .587 OPS, is still owed a few bucks and has a bad knee.

...gee, what else is new...you can't dispute the links I posted with anything tangible so like Trump, you simply attack the messengers that you disagree with...very compelling.

...I posted multiple links covering different slants on things and you decided instead to only focus what you perceive as negatives...and also choose to bash Mantle a Ruth for some unknown and misguided reason...it must really suck to be you.

Number 7 and Number 3, those two made their Yankee Teams a ten for many a season.

...^^^yup, they were heroes for a lot of folks...but sadly, it speaks volumes about the mentality of someone who goes out of their way to broadly bash someone like Ruth and Mantle with generalities, yet blindly defends someone like ARod and Cashman....Trump too, for that matter.

"gee, what else is new...you can't dispute the links I posted with anything tangible so like Trump, you simply attack the messengers that you disagree with...very compelling".

    Okay, here we go:
    Dispute links? With anything tangible?
Maybe I agreed with alot of the material in the links....are you confused?
And I thought it was clear, positive and TANGIBLE when I commented on the link regarding the Whitesox interested in Sanchez when I said he was better than any of their current catchers. Confused?
And what's up about this Trump and messenger horseshit?
You can't be this shallow and naive---> Trump is the very messenger you attack. Lmao....very compelling. You're funny.

..."I posted multiple links covering different slants on things and you decided instead to only focus what you perceive as negatives...and also choose to bash Mantle a Ruth for some unknown and misguided reason...it must really suck to be you".

One of your links was about Judge getting injured. Not much to comment on, or "dispute", nor can I find anything positive to say, so I didn't.
I already mentioned him limping off the field to Cage in another thread.

Another one of your links was an article from Ken Davidoff concerning possibilities of trading Tex. I called it as I see it...much ado about nothing, Davidoff must've had time on his hands.
Did YOU disagree with my assessment of Tex being a veteran player with a no trade clause batting below .190 .587 OPS, still owed a few bucks with a bad knee? Wtf did you expect to hear?
    Oh wait a minute....
lemme put on my rose colored pinstriped homerific glasses--> I hope the Yanks get a couple of top prospects for him. Feel better now?
    This is comical.

Another link was about Green being sent down.
I'm actually surprised you didn't have your usual NEGATIVE sarcastic comment about the "never ending plan" when he was sent down.
I've already said in another thread he should get a good look from the Yanks in place of Eovaldi or Nova....I even mentioned also giving some other kid SP Dietrich Enns a chance in place of Nova or Eovaldi.

Another link was about how Eovaldi should be left in the bullpen.
What else is there to say?
Haven't I already discussed him and the particulars of the trade with you?
C'mon now, there's only 8 or so posters on the freeking board, can't you keep up?

Now the big enchilada....the link with Artie Lange commentary on Arod which caused me to mention The Mick and The Babe....
Yep, Arod was suspended for "cheating"....can we re-suspend him over and over again? Lmao....I thought we were all grown up?
A disgrace to the Yankee uniform.....how about grabbing the asses of other wives or daughters? Stumbling around intoxicated in public? Drunk driving? Yeah sure kids....they were HEROS.
Hey kids, be like Mickey and the Babe, stay out all night when you have a day game...show up for games with hangovers, destroy your health....get suspended for insubordination. Be washed up in your mid thirties because of DRUG ABUSE aka alcoholism.
Those guys wouldn't last a week under today's scrutiny.
But I still respect their baseball talents...they were great Yankee PLAYERS.
Let's cut the boy scout bullshit. We're not 12 years old anymore.

If you ask me, some people must really be miserable rotten individuals to be filled with such hate over a baseball player being suspended for "cheating". The utter hatred...speaks volumes.
Good luck with that...must be difficult. Sleep tight.
Lol, on a side note, I was kinda disappointed Arod couldn't or was unable to sue the pants off those responsible for leaking ONLY his name from grand jury testimony.

Let's hear it for The Captain. ... good old Derek.
Cold as a cucumber towards younger players, never said anything or took a stand on anything in 20 years, gotta love him.....
..... common knowledge Arod was much more outgoing and helpful with young and new players.
Oh my gosh, did he just say that? Lmao

Do you want me to write an open letter of apology to Artie Lange?
Nah, not gonna happen- he can kiss my butt.

Why don't I believe that the Yankees are close to trading Aroldis Chapman?

Is this another Yankee management ploy?.......to get more teams interested!
Talk about politics in baseball! It's the game behind the game on the field.

Rumors are just that..........within a ten minute span on Twitter ........the Cubs
are sending the Yankees Gleyber Torres & others for AC. Then you hear Torres
is off the table. Cashman could fuck this up.
