Interesting that in Hollinger's analysis, it's a whopping 14 losses to the Sixers and just adds 3 wins to the Blazers.

So the 76ers would have a record of -4 and 86?

Don't see Philly being a good trade partner. If we really are interested in Okafor, we'd have to bring in a third team (like DEN, who's loaded with guards).

I don't like the idea of trading Aminu or Davis -- their small contracts for the next two seasons are ultra valuable. But if we are indeed keen on moving them, trading them for guys on their rookie contracts is probably the best idea.

No, in the second one I meant either Aminu or Harkless, not both in one package.

really, looks pretty cheap to me, guy had a great rookie yr and that's 3 more yrs of very good production before he gets paid big time

I think this is actually an interesting possibility.

Okafor is on a rookie scale contract, which helps for next season.

Leonard becomes our starting PF, and I say "why not?" Landry would be the backup PF, or push Leonard for the starting job.

An Okafor at C gets us a serious inside/outside game that is going to be hard to stop. Ezeli would be the backup, which seems about right.

The knock on Okafor is weak defense, but he's so young still. He's got enormous upside potential, though. I think he might be the C version of Durant if he continues to grow his game.

I wouldn't get hung up about Landry, though.

I would do it. I think Neil has been selling aminu at the four a little too hard. This would also signal the return of harkless as a sure thing.

I'm not sure if this is the trade I like for the Blazers, but something along these lines intrigues me at least. Neil's gonna have to do something to push this team from one of the also-rans to a true contender. I'm still thinking about a consolidation trade centered around CJ to get a guy like Boogie (or somebody of his caliber).

I'm not so sure Okafor is that far off from being a Boogie.

Okafor is not yet 21 yrs old. He put up serious numbers for 76ers last year. He is a better/younger version of Al Jefferson IMO. With our coaching staff, we could teach him how to play a little defense.

Dame - CJ - Turner - ML or other - Okafor is a serious lineup.
Still have Crabbe, Plumlee, Ezeli, Connaughton and possibly Harkless off the bench.

If it's not this, it has to be something else. We need a consolidation trade badly.

He's had a series of off court issues - reckless driving and a couple separate altercations at nightclubs.

As for on the court, yes he's gifted offensively and very young. But he's slow, not a great leaper & not a great rim protector (not sure he'll ever be) and not good on defense. He can't chase around stretch 4's, like Leonard, so I'm not sure that combination would work. He was a horrible fit with Nerlins Noel because they both like to play around the rim offensively, so for those same reasons I doubt he'd fit well with Ezeli or Plumlee or even Davis if he started at center. I suppose he could start alongside Aminu but then we'd be back to have no rim protector.

    I don't think he's a good fit.

Long term Okafor would be a good addition. He can flat out score down low.

What does Philly need? Are they going with Simmons at PF and bringing the SF from Europe over? Not sure if they need Aminu.
Vonleh would need to explode in the next 3 summer league games to sell that trade. If were them I would ask for Plums and Vonleh and a draft pick. But I agree with those that say we are not the best trade partner for them.

He's long way from Cousins still although near the basket he's probably already as good offensively. The issue with him is he is poor defensively at C and probably even worse at PF. I worry about our perimeter defense if we play Lillard/McCollum backcourt and Ezeli/Okafor frontcourt, there will basically be none.

I would rather try to pry Jabari Parker away from Milwaukee.
