OT Draymond Green arrested

The guy clearly has temper issues. He got away with "accidentally" hitting Ken Mauer in the playoffs. Classic case of an athlete thinking they're above the law.

I can't really say I'm happy; after all, if charges are true someone was at the receiving end of the assault and based on Green's history, probably someone smaller than he is.

But I also can't say I'm terribly surprised.

And so it begins...

Why smaller? Adams is bigger, Lebron isn't smaller.

The real question, in my mind is: will USA Basketball have the balls to kick Green off the Olympic Team?

Details on the arrest are sketchy at this time, and I'm sure the Green apologist GSW bandwagon fanboys will decry lack of due process, but guess what; representing your country in the Olympics is a privilege, not a right.

I didn't want Green representing my country on an international stage before this incident. Hopefully, this will be the straw that breaks the Olympic Committee's back and they take action. Yet, I remain skeptical. Green will probably pay off the victim and the charges will be dropped. USA Basketball will turn their heads and take the cop out, no conviction, no suspension approach. He's already gotten away with this kind of crap on a national level. Time for the coddled athlete to take his act global.

By this I can only assume you mean that he'll play in Rio, contract Zika, and then go on a world-wide tour causing a global pandemic.

Statistically, you are probably correct. The average East Lansing resident and about 99% of the general population, is smaller than Green. However, he seems to be an equal opportunity thug, assaulting adversaries of all races, nationalities and sizes. Steven Adams is definitely bigger, white and from New Zealand. LeBron James is about the same size as Green, black and American born. Ken Mauer is considerably smaller, white and American born.

The only pattern I see is that Green lashes out at whoever is closest when something pisses him off.

I thought Adams was half Tongan. No matter, your point is still valid.

ESPN:
Asked the East Lansing PD about last night's incident involving Draymond Green: "We are confirming that Draymond Green was arrested for assault in our downtown business district early Sunday morning at around 2:30AM. The victim was a male. It was basically an altercation between two guys. There's no injuries. He was released with a 200 dollar bond on Sunday. And he's got 10 days to get arraigned and then prosecution will continue from there."

Police confirm that the establishment where the altercation occurred was Conrad's Grill in East Lansing.

In 10 days, Green will have multiple witnesses that argue it was all the other guys fault and Green was an innocent victim only defending himself.
