I do like Brass a lot, but hard not to like this. Younger, way bigger, and a RIGHT SHOT thank christ. 51 points in 81 games as a 22 year old last year.

If you look at career trajectory, we got Zibs kind of at the same point we originally got Brassard, except Zibs is has a higher point production than Brass did.

One year left at 2.625, then he's restricted. Have to assume he comes in lower than Brass's 5 per.

Thanks to Brass and welcome Z.

Oh and we also got a 2nd round pick for those who are very upset about how we trade all our picks.

    Agreed, I like it too. Especially flipping a 7th for a 2nd.

One thing about Brass though is he is a good playoff guy.

This is true. Although he didnt become one until he was with us. Hopefully Zbad has that in him as well.

Didnt realize Brass was already 29 (or will be shortly).

Big, 23, right handed shot, already over 50% on draws. Well, Gorton finally got some balls.

Most are saying that 2nd will be used in a Nash deal. We'll see. Nash for Girgensons is still a hot rumor.

Scouting reports say great hockey sense, physical and tough in corners. Rocket of a shot, powerful skater.

Glad to see our GM came out of his coma and made a great trade. I was never a big Brassard guy but he had made me shut up as he kept doing better than i ever expected but to get Z i have no problem giving up Brassard. As already mentioned, his youth, size, shot and right handedness are all things this team really needed.

Brassard was one of our best playoff guys. So, hate to see him go but the deal makes us younger and potentially better. Also, getting him while possibly moving Nash for a center in Girgensons either makes Hayes expendable or to never player center again where he sucks ass.

If we got Girgensons on top of Z and Jooris it would probably mean Stepan is getting traded, no? Because we'd also have JT and Lindberg who could play C and don't see them being traded given their favorable contracts.

Miller will never player center. He's too dumb to handle it defensively. Jooris is here for one season.

Wtf, Brass was a great playoff performer and one of the best players on the team.. He played well with Zuccarello and played with an edge... Stupid trade who care if ZB is younger and cheap blah blah blah. This team gets rid of only players that play well for them... Let's all salavate over a 2nd round pick, big fuckin deal

With that said, ZB kills penalties and is a shorthanded threat so he's a little more versatile than brass

And he's on a 2 way deal so I can see AV sending him down for Glass

I totally agree with you Strud. I don't get it. This team lacks character as is, and they remove edge guy from this team. His line was the only consistency this team have had in the past few seasons. Idiots.
