I listen to sports talk radio all day during the week/work. Dan Patrick Show (750 The Game) Rusillo & Kanell (ESPN Radio) Dirt & Sprague (1080 The Fan) Isaac & Suke (1080 The Fan) Dusty & Cam are good (1080 The Fan) but I'm a big DP Show fan so typically listen to that instead.
How the hell do you have time to take people's taco orders in that little window if your busy listening to all that crap?
So based on the polls, it seems like I need to give 1080 a legit shot before blowing up my car stereo all together.
Man, sports radio is so hit and miss, isn't it. There is a show here in Houston that I absolutely love, but some of the others are complete garbage
1080 the fan, to me it isn't close. Dust and Cam in the morning is good, I will podcast it at work sometimes before noon. I like Dirt and Sprague because they are pretty intereactive on the text line/twitter with fans, but don't take calls. To me callers abosulity destroy sports radio for me, which is part of the reason I stopped with 750. 750 does the take a caller, then cut them off and make fun of them bit too much. Whereas Dirt & Sprague with purposely read text making fun of them, and agree or join in. As for Prime time, there is a reason Isaac and Suke have been around so long, they can (and have) make a show out of literally anything, and it be entertaining. The first segment of the show, then of course the club hour are prime examples of this. Another reason I like the station? All the guys are really cool and humble in person. I went to the Civil war party at the Brix last year, didn't know anyone there, but Isaac had a thing going that if you knew a password he would buy you beer, so I walked up to him during break, he bought me a beer then I BSed with him and Suke the entire break. After the event some of us stayed longer and we just sat around the bar hanging out, talking sports, etc. I have met some guys on local radio who seem to think their bald shit don't stink. Its like dude, you're just on the radio, get over yourself.
