A 26-year-old was arrested Tuesday morning after fatally stabbing 15 people and wounding 45 others at a facility for people with disabilities in Kanagawa Prefecture, NHK reported. The knife-wielding man carried out the attack at Tsukui Yamayuri-en, a facility for the disabled in Sagamihara, shortly after 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, local police were quoted as saying. Kanagawa police said they arrested the man, identified as Satoshi Uematsu, 26, when he turned himself in at the Tsukui Police Station at around 3 a.m. and owned up to the attack. He is reportedly being held on initial suspicion of attempted murder. The suspect said he used to work at the facitlity, the police said. Seppuku; ritualistic suicide? To be honest, I don't think anyone in Japan has performed that in decades; a hundred years at least. I could be wrong though; they are a very honor-bound society.
I watched a live fire for time testing firearm magazine size. Results: The size of the magazine did not affect the time it took to fire a large number of rounds by very much. It only takes a second or two to change magazines. A shooter that is planning a mass murder always carries extra magazines, regardless of how many rounds the magazine holds. One live fire test used the same pistol but with different magazine limits, two 15 round magazines, time tested against three 10 round magazines. 30 rounds total each. There was only a few seconds difference to fire all 30 rounds with each magazine limit. I believe it took about 22 seconds with the three mags, and 18 seconds with 2 mags (if my memory is on today). Bottom line. Limiting the magazine size to 10 rounds is not going to save any lives. It is just another feel good miss-information campaign by those trying to take away the rights others.

My wife just told me about a donut shop that put out a presser that said it didn't want vegans and shit to apply at their place because they will not serve vegan donuts. The owner seemed pretty cool about it. Said he wanted people that would eat his donuts so they could offer opinions to customers on favorites. Seems reasonable. Vegans and/or dietary restrictions are not a protected class. So the assholes complaining can go f themselves.
