I remember a few years back when VC was still in Toronto, he had played in maybe one game all year, if even that, and still started the ASG and then was mysteriously injured after that because he didn't play for Toronto directly after the break.</div>Yeah, but that doesn't make it right. Also, Shaq isnt the one voting for him to start in the All-Star game. He should realize that he has been out for the entire season, so he shouldn't even be in the All-Star game. He can say all he wants about "a guy has to wait his turn", but Howard could have arguably been in the All-Star game last year, and he is having another good season. He deserves to start as the Center in the East and Shaq doesn't. If Shaq had played in all the games this year, I could understand his saying that, because he is Shaq after all, but he has only played in 4 games.....I mean come on now.

But that won't happen anyway.Plus Howard will more than likely get the minutes he deserves in the game regardless of whether he starts or not.

Shaq is an idiot. I hope the West owns his ass all night. I will root for Kobe to posterize him.

That would be sweet to see Kobe own Shaq on the way to the basket.I think Dwight Howard is a much more exciting player and more deserving of taking that starter spot this year, I'm tired of Shaquille O'Neal and I'd just wish he'd retire already.

I don't think it's much of a big deal. Shaq is going to be the Eastern Conference starting center until he retires, deal with it. It's not based on the performances, it's based on the popularity a player has. We all know that Shaq has been many favorites ever since he was drafted.. He should definitely be the starter no matter what happens. Hell, even I voted for Shaq.In other words, I think D12 will be the starting center once The Diesel retires.. So his chances will be coming in a couple of years or so. The good thing is Howard will be coming off the bench this season. He should definitely be an all star player for many years to come.

Shaq is obviously not the same player he was a couple years ago. The older he gets, the more injury prone he gets. Give him 2 more years and he's out of the league. With the whole all star thing, Shaq, as long as he is in the NBA, will alyways be voted to All-Stars because of his personality, not the way he plays. Yes, it is an unfair thing, but its true.

yeah, the real reason shaq has been out so long is to save energy for the playoffs, as everybody knows. Also because he can't stand to average 12-8 over a full season in starters minutes.

When do you guys think shaq will be back? Tomarrow?Friday? sometime next week? I agree with the ones who have said that the main reason shaq has been out so long is to be fresh for the playoffs. The heat can make up 6-7 games pretty easily and they still have a good portion of the season left, I still expect the heat to get pretty good seeding.
