...just got back from a few days at the beach...we had a great time but is anyone else sick and tired of having people run into you because they are too busy texting while walking with their heads down to pay attention to the people in front of them?

...and they never say excuse me or anything, ...instead, they just keep on typing away and giving you a look as if you were the one with poor manners and that you were the one who was completely oblivious to the other people around you.... It's mostly youngsters, who Tote refers to as "millennials".

I must say that it absolutely enrages me. It's everywhere you go also and it's not just the youngsters. I can't get down a supermarket aisle without somebody messing with their phone, blocking everyone and completely oblivious to their surroundings.

    I'll be your huckleberry...
all the time, it happens here, mostly in public stores, Walmart being the Uber worst. Grocery Stores are just as bad as Wally's World, fkng bitches, often plug up aisles either texting or blindly bullshitting on their phones; (almost always another race other than Caucasian). Few guys I find doing such, probably because alot of those social groups in which Men do nothing, don't buy groceries, don't work, don't do a fkng thing but find ways to not have to work a legit job, in lieu of planning there next robbery.....

Had to change towns we buy groceries in. Out here in L.A.'s newest barrio, we've got relocation for Section 8 rentals, with half of East L.A., Pacoima, South Central, Watts; most closet racists. Hell we even have Puerto Vallarta, a Hispanic Chollo Supermarket, owned, run, used, by 100% Left Coast illegals, or the other race that never can speak English.....(that burns my ass too, no "habla anglais") - can't count how many illegals harbored here) draining public coffers, state, county et al.....

Yup, right on target. For me grocery stores are the worst. If you want to do that crap go find a corner somewhere and stay out of people's way.

...believe it or not it was a supermarket episode that pushed me over the edge...we live out in the country and as when got back home we stopped at walmart to pick up a couple of steaks and some odds and ends...this small town which is about 10 miles from where we live often hosts softball tournaments, mostly girls teams.
...As I made my way to the next aisle a group of 5 girls in softball uniforms literally ran into me...they never said "excuse me" or anything...like I said before, they simply gave me a sort of "whatever" look, and kept on texting...it seems all I see of youngsters these days os the tops of their heads because they always seem to have their heads down hammering away on their phones.

...it's really infuriating. But yeah, there are grown ups who should know better, who are guilty of it too.

...I'll add to that...how about the text happy people who stop in the middle of the aisle to text or talk on their cell phones?...and I'm thinking, "Jesus fucking Christ, will you please get out of the fucking way?"

Mu phone is not a smartphone, just Consumer Cellular 23 dollar per month cheapie. I don not give my number to many and should they call I don't answer. Remember Pavlovs eaperiments with dogs. That being said if you want to reach me leave a message. I do not take the phone into public areas, shut it off while driving, and never respond to a text. I used to advise the Squeeze not to park her PT Cruiser on the street but she always claimed it was more convenient. One day some asshole was driving through the neighborhood at 60 MPH in a pick up and texting at the same time. Kiss PT Cruiser good by, the cops cited him don't know what happened. Its the same old shit, a quality technical devise was devised for man to use and man found some way to fuck it up.

^^^I pay $29.00 a month for the Page Plus program...no contract, no bill, and it is automatically debited from my Paypal account. I get 1000 minutes of talk time, 1000 minutes of texting time and 1 Gig of data...(way more than I ever use per month)...and they use Verizon towers......pretty good deal...and I picked up a used Iphone 5s on ebay...work great.

Back in '10 I bought the Squeeze and I Phone for Christmas. Since that time she has upgraded and currently has the latest model. Gotta admit they have some pretty awesome features. But then again in her business it came in handy. I used to have a smartphone, took it with me when the squeeze & I would go to American Legion Dances. That way I could follow the games on the phone. But when ATT came and told me they were going to charge for features I did not plan on using, I said later gators. Now I have a doro flip phone, get along fine. But as you stated in your original pst many are addicted to the God Damn Phones like their waking lives depend on it.

Sat down to dinner with family. I personally collected everyone's cell phones. Conversation at the
table is much better than looking down into one's lap texting. Enough already! It is getting out of
    hand.

I just tend to go and stop in these peoples path. When they run into me I give them some choice words. My favorite are the people texting on their phone at a stop light. I'll bang on their hood and yell, pay attention you're fucking driving. Millennial are so non-confrontational, sometimes you can make them cry.....its awesome!
