    I remember the story of Paul Schrader getting fan mail for Jodie Foster from Hinkle and thinking it was just some "besotted fan." Then the FBI grabbed him when he was location scouting for a movie and he went "Oops! My bad. It was one of those Taxi Driver guys wasn't it."

    Well. I'm sure Mr. Hinkle has seen Contact by now. That should have ended the infatuation.
