See the real question is "Why does Trump want to be president?" He's a vastly successful mogul, the precidency is definitely a step down from an economic standpoint and its 1000% more dangerous. He has taken very little money from people (in the scheme of a political campaign), if he ran as a Democrat a year ago... I'm willing to bet he would be considered a fine moderate pick.
