Miss the days of pre-season games in Corvallis (at Gill) and in Eugene (Pit, or MKA) ... Would also love to see a pre-season game in the Coliseum as well. Feels like a missed opportunity by the team to showcase the Blazers around the state.
wasnt the regular season released too? I thought I saw that a few days ago but cant find it now? Im building my calendar cause I thought it was out, but now I cant find it. Am I just high or something?
Thanks! Soon though. Cant tell im anxious can ya? "I'm a mushroom cloud laying motherfucker, motherfucker! As a matter of fact why am I in the back?... Your on brain detail motherfucker!!!"
Jesus, two road trips including a back to back at the staples center. What a crappy schedule...the NBA must really love us
So they have until October 2nd to disappoint us with their choice for a partner of Calabro. Good to know.
Be happy they aren't playing then at the Tacoma Dome or at Key Arena. Why in the hell would they play any games at the glass palace? As for showcasing, most people outside Portland can watch the team.
I dunno, when I went and saw them play at the MC against the Jazz (Deron Williams years), it was actually really cool.
It's thousands of seats that they lose out on. Place is a dump. Should bulldoze it down and put up something useful
The only thing stopping it from being knocked down is the many fans who feel it is a historical monument...but eventually money wins and will be torn down and there will be condos, high class restaurants and such built in its place...can't stop the future
It's a preseason game. lol. It wasn't even full when I went to my game... I got a 1st row seat behind the blazers bench walking up to the gate an hour and a half before the game. They aren't really losing that much money... pre-season games are more for the players than the money they get from fans going to the game... all that stuff is gravy.
Best way to get those people to change their minds is to get them to actually enter the building. I have fond memories too, but the current reality is that MM is right: That dump should be razed.
According to this (http://www.nba.com/schedules/national_tv_schedule/), a bunch of our preseason games are on league pass (and on locally for those of you in the area). This is a change from previous years. 11 days til it starts.
Preseason is basically 5 on 5 training camp except that the fans get to watch....if we weren't playing preseason games, they'd be playing each other in the PF...I don't see why anyone would complain about more Blazer basketball to enjoy whether it's preseason, regular season or playoffs. I sure wish I could go.
