The best thing about the remainder of this season will be watching the newbies when called up. Thoroughly enjoyed Sanchez getting his first hit, and Sevey with a second chance kicking ass. Though there will be no play offs the Yankees will b fun to watch again.
...yeah, that's the same approach I'm taking. It's a shame that management allowed this team to regress to this point but it's one thing to have to watch a mediocre franchise for so many years, but it's something else entirely to be forced to watch a mediocre team with a bunch of overpaid prima donnas and/or players past their prime. ...in other words, I'd much rather watch young passionate players lose than I would a bunch of players with no heart or fire.
Baseball has always been about the youth of the game. For too long, the Yankees through these years of trying to be the best, neglected the impact of youth and the effect it has on their fan base. New blood means new pride. GO YANKEES!
...^^^ incredible stuff 59, thanks...! some of these guys look ready, hungry, willing, determined to make the big club, let it roll, let it rip.....I'm looking forward to seeing these prospects flourish.... (clipped from an article noted in OP- LMAO).... The amusing part of this story is the self-aggrandizing dismay demonstrated, to at least some degree, by Yankees officials, media and fans. It was as if the Yankees selling at the deadline actually required a greater sacrifice than it would from anyone else because, well, again, they’re the Yankees. Those pinstripes are ground from onyx, you know. Then spun by hand. Doesn’t it make you want to puke?
It's amazing what we can learn when we read the NY "newspapers", watch the YES Network, AND listen to the Yankees' radio broadcasts with pregame and post-game info from Suzyn Waldman and Sweeny Murti. Pregame Girardi interview with Suzyn Waldman: Sanchez has a sore left thumb, Girardi is DHing him just to give him an extra day or two before he catches. Cashman has said (Tuesday interview) Sanchez he will get ABs both catching and DH- this could be one step closer to Yanks parting with Arod. blgridesagain, Yesterday at 6:23 PMEditDeleteReport ___________________________ These two guys could become factors in the Yanks' bullpen in the near future. Heard the GM (in radio interview) say Heller could be here sooner than later. http://www.letsgotribe.com/2016/4/1...ns-bullpen-prospects-ben-heller-jp-feyereisen http://www.pinstripealley.com/2016/...rew-miller-justus-sheffield-heller-feyereisen
