Not really sure if I spelt his name right though. But, what do you guys think about him. He's been having a solid year and is starting to get a lot more comfortable on the floor. Early in the season he would just settle for shots, but he's also now starting to drive a bit more. And even when he's a good shooter from outside the arc NOBODY guards him jsut like when we had the Red RocketSo what do you guys think of Bargnani?? Who's future in Toronto looks bright already with so many fans supporting him.
Bargnani is a fan favourite and believe it or not fellow NBAers, a contender for ROY. I really like his game, because he looks like a modified version of Gasol and Dirk alike. I believe he can evolve into a player that drives to the basket better than Dirk, but will never be a good as passer as Gasol. The main aspect of his game that needs to be improved to make his transition complete in the NBA is his rebounding, he really needs to develop as a force down low, so essentially, he will be able to create for himself and others downlow.
I wasn't a huge fan when we drafted him, because I was sceptical of whether or not he could play Center, but now I am a HUGE fan of him. I love his offensive game. He is a great shooter (leads big men in 3PM), he has the quickness of a SF. He is good at driving and creating looks for himself. His post game is starting to improve a bit more too. I now see him demanding more and more looks in the post. It's good to see. I think his offensive game has tremendous potential, and I think he can be a 20+ ppg guy for us in the future.
He's also had some off games too, but these last few games he's been playing very good. Chuch and Leo always compare him to Pau and Dirk, Bargnani's inside game and Dirk's Outside game. He has shot more 3's this year than Dirk. But the 7 footer can do a lot of stuff. He would be a good player if he can get more rebounds, like he has the ability to get 10+ rebounds and at least 1 block. I hope he can be ROY, he's been impressing me a lot.
