I think it's stupid how players don't care about the All-Star game. Some of the players do, such as the younger players, but the veterans just make a joke out of it. You're getting payed millions of dollars, and when the fans and coaches vote you in as their favorite players to play, you should feel honored and go out there and entertain these fans who payed money to see you play.
Well they probably did, 6 or 7 years ago. Now they just treat it as a weekend off from the NBA and forget about the part that there in Las Vegas to play basketball.
You guys do understand that the All-Star Weekend is probably the busiest time of the season for the All-Star players, right? Especially when you consider it is supposed to be a break...

No one thinks Arenas is the best player, I don't think he's even the best scorer. Why do you say that he's a bad person though, thats just fu*kin wierd...</div>Oh, my mistake, I didnt realize that you were at the Team USA tryouts, seeing how he tried so hard that he couldnt play his game. They cut him because they realized his ATTITUDE wasnt right for the team, and who replaced him? Jason Kidd, one of the most modest, unselfish people in the NBA. Also, who are you to say that Gilbert has a lot of friends in the NBA? Are you in the NBA, and his friend? Cause your on his nuts enough, jesus...

http://www.nba.com/nba_news/arenas_duke_070125.htmlClaims he would score 84 or 85 points against Coach K's Duke team, and that he would skip an NBA Season to go back to college.Hey Gilbert, you didnt even average 20 a game at Arizona, good try though.
Haha, got to love Arenas!I blame Team USA for not taking him tho, I think he would score 85 on his Duke Team.

Less ego, more distrubiting, and better shot selection.
Arenas needs to shut up. Like I keep saying, he says stuff that questions his game mentality. He's a great player, and one of my favorite players, but he is not one of my favorite people. He needs to shut his mouth and just play basketball.GArenas, Arenas is not "joking" when saying this. This kind of stuff is the stuff that gives Arenas a bad wrap as a person, atleast when he's around the media. But of course, I bet you defend what he says here...
Arenas was one of those players that were never suppose to be good.. There is a reason why he was drafted in the second round. So it doesn't matter if he can average 20 PPG in Arizona. He is currently 2nd in the league for PPG in the NBA. I definitely don't blame him for being frustrated though.. Although, I do think he could score 80+ points on the poor defensive Duke team.
It's not really about the fact of whether he can do it or not, but, just don't say it. It makes you look bad. Leave it to yourself as your own personal fire.

He's saying me, and NBA Veteran, can score 84 points on a bunch of college kids. Congratualations Gilbert.

He'd have to take about 60 shots, which is over 2 shots a minute in the 25 minutes Gilbert's team would have the ball, and he'd need to shoot well over 50%, and he says he would NOT pass, itd be like NBA Live. Which really hurts his chances of shooting that percentage.I'd bet money Gilbert couldn't score 85 against a good High School Team like Montrose, Oak Hill, or someone like that. 85 points in any game is improbable and next to impossible in the college game with 8 less minutes.I, sir, am not an idiot.
Yes you are for the fact that you said he couldn't do it BECAUSE he didn't even average 20 PPG in college. That point is stupid and moot, as he's older and much better now. He could put up 60 for sure.
