Yankees added RHP Blake Parker to the Active Roster and optioned Luis Severino to Triple A as per The Yes Network.

    Severino sent back to AAA?
What the hell is going on here?

Yanks say they want Sevy to work on his changeup.
It's not as if they're battling for 1st place or trying to hold onto a WC spot-- let Rothschild earn his fukn money instead of patting Tanaka on the back and beating dead horses like Eovaldi ,CC and the parade of relievers with high ERAs.

Sevey would be better off at MLB level at this point in time, Blake Parker, I must have missed that one.

    From the link:
"while lasting just 4 1/3 innings and allowing five runs and seven hits at Fenway Park, Severino threw just one changeup, according to The Post's Joel Sherman The Yankees want him to work on the off-speed pitch in the minors"

    If the above is true:

They wanted him to work in more changeups and he threw only one during the game......were Sanchez AND Severino briefed before the game?
Did ANYONE- Rothschild,Girardi notice he "threw just one changeup" by the 3rd or 4th inning?
I guess it's too much to ask for and expect from the coaching staff to keep an eye on this little detail and stay on top of things.....and to add to the ridiculousness, they had rookie catcher playing in his 6th ML game behind the plate.
Nice example of how the Yanks are a bit slow and behind the curve when it comes to bringing along young SP.
    CLOWNS!

Actually, he has said as far back as last year he enjoys pitching at Fenway with all the intensity and stuff.
He wasn't bad last year at Fenway posting a 3.86 ERA.

If he gets knocked around it'll be because he sucks, not because he's "nervous".

I don't like this move at all. Parker claimed off of waivers, a Middle Reliever, in lieu of a SP...? Parker a 16th round draft pick in 06, spent 7 long years, with 333 Minor Lg games, vs 75 in MLB. This yr alone Parker played in 38 games in Tacoma-PCL. 31 yrs old and still trying to make a roster, not on a Minor Lg team; or is this part of the new "plan"? I don't see...

What do the Yanx have to lose by letting Severino pitch out the cobwebs, perhaps as he did in AAA this last go round...if he doesn't find his brilliance by end of year, he's always got ST, & maybe a role on a short leash next year, ... but Parker is not the answer. Getting Seve on track is more a priority, than adding a lifer no-body into the bullpen-wtf...???

Eovaldi out early with an apparent injury. Tell Severino not to unpack.

I bet the Yanx still have 50,000 Brian Roberts bobble heads left in stock. Modify the name, put springs in its wrists, and the Fans are appeased with a Headley bobble hands and head night.

they could only be handed out on the way out, otherwise half would be deposited on the field, heavy on the 3rd base line.

Mental stress can affect one physically! Lol. What else will go wrong with players on this team?

Right elbow discomfort....same as last year, also about the same time of the season.
This is a blessing- there's now two spots open in the rotation and the dummass Yanks now FORCED to either keep Severino in the rotation and/or bring up another kid for the rotation.
It'll probably be Green and Sevy...but I'd also like to see Dietrich Enns get rewarded for putting up great numbers at AA/AAA. Maybe instead of Green.
For crissakes, he'll be 26 yrs old next year.... maybe possibly this kid can see daylight with the Yanks before he's beaten down and becomes another nowwhere man while the Yanks twiddle their thumbs watching known quantities struggling to pitch 5-6 innings with high ERAs.

I don't know much about Enns, all I know is he's a 25 year old LHSP who has put up excellent numbers at AA/AAA.
A LEFTHANDER! Goodness knows the Yanks could use a good LHSP...and a young inexpensive one.
    WTF are they waiting for?
This is a prime time and perfect opportunity for them to take a look at this pitcher.

When Yanks finish with the housecleaning I hope they add Girardi to the departed bodies. Hate the way he handles the starters not letting anyone passed 6th inning unless throwing a no hitter and burning out the bullpen. Betances coming in the other day with a 6 or 7 run(I forget) lead was the final straw for me. Can't stand watching tex with his under .200 average, hicks who sucks big moose dick, while refsnyder plays as an afterthought. And while I'm not an a-rod fan what he is doing with him this week not playing him in these meaningless 4 games is making girardi look like a total vindictive asshole. "I'm playing to win", really Joe since you've done that only once in the past 9 years you have a hard time selling that one. The team blows and the emphasis should be on playing every young player on the roster. When does tex get told you fucking suck ass and I'm putting someone in for you that can hit and your my late inning defensive replacement. Eovaldi on way back to ny as we speak to get elbow he already had tj surgery in hs looked at which is never good and could be finished(he sucks anyway) if he needs that again. Agree with you guys on severino being sent down instead of pitching thru his growing pains with the reason being he has to work on his change up. Really??? Bwahahahahaahahahahrha. Hoping since eovaldi hurt Seve's right back as I think thats the rule and we see another deserving kid who is pitching well in triple A given a shot before their 30. Very frustrated watching this team and the manager who I hope is put out of his misery once the season concludes.

I've always supported Girardi but he has just become another company man puppet and this stuff he's pulling now is reminding of the nonsense he pulled at the end of Posada's career. I agree with you Cage. With everything changing they really might want to look at the main spot on the bench as well. I have no love affair with Arod but not having him play these games is just plain ridiculous and listening to the explanations makes them sound like idiots.
