His tenure with the team lasted less than 1 1/2 seasons.</div>Yahoo! SportsKind of suspect because of the timing considering how well they have been playing lately, aside from the KG suspension.

Why would they fire him now? The T-Wolves were doing well lately. The timing of this firing is dumb because they were doing good of late.

The Twolves were doing well as of late, but you do have to keep in mind that they lost 4 straight games and is just at .500 and barely holding the 8th spot.

This was pretty expected, but it's a little weird that they'd fire him while the Wolves are a playoff team as of right now. The timing is a little odd, but Casey wasn't going to be their long term anyway. I think as a replacement, they should seek a guy like Rick Adleman. With that offensive firepower Minnesota has in KG, Ricky, James, Foye, and Blount, Adleman could really make something decent happen.

Yeah Casey definitely wasn't in their plans for the future. I am not surprised at this firing, but the timing was surprising.

im actually glad they got rid of that bum. casey has the most wild rotations in the league. he pretty much just throws anyone out there at any point in thegame. there was one time I remember when we had hudson, jaric, reed, hassell, and blount in a close game! I mean come on you cant be serious with that lineup!

Maybe the owner or GM or whatever thinks that they could be doing better. I personally dont think they can be doing much better than they are right now. Who is his replacement?

I am not sure if this was a good firing or not.. Just like others said, the Wolves have been doing well lately. If the assistant coach is decent, then Minnesota will be fine.

I think it's pretty obvious that KG is coming to LA now.But seriously this is kind of unexpected. On one hand they've lost 4 games in a row and don't seem to be moving in the right direction. On the other hand they're in the playoff picture and a coaching change might set them back a bit.
