Pineda had a neck X-Ray, results: his hat isn't crooked, his head is...!

Sanchez looks like the real deal. Now get another prospect or 2 for mccann. Heard Girardi's pregame press conference. Someone asked him a question about the pitching and refsnyder going down and the only thing missing from his answer was rolling the marbles in his hand like captain queeg. He looks like he's ready for a nervous breakdown.

    Yanks made a roster mover-
    Sent down Refsnyder and Goody.
Called up Ben Heller and Luis Cessa.
Heller becomes the first of the players acquired at the deadline to appear for the Yanks. (Miller trade)
Good riddance Goody....tough break for Ref.
Maybe he'll be back on the next shuttle.
I would've preferred Tyler Webb AND Heller.
Glad to see Heller get the call....at least the Yanks are rewarding a kid who has done well at AAA instead of another recycled stiff.

Just saw a Sports Center side car that reported Joe G said no to A-rodham about playing 3rd base.

Yanks needed to get some fresh bodies for the pen after last night when they used 7 relievers.
Knowing the dumbass Yanks, they wouldn't have called up Heller UNLESS they used up 7 relievers.
But why not bring up Tyler Webb instead of Cessa along with Heller?
Both of their LHs pitched yesterday and Webb is a LH and he's been excellent at AAA especially his last 10 games- 16.1 IP, 1.65 ERA, 0.93 WHIP.

Here we have a reliever Webb doing well at AAA and the Yanks keep the revolving door going with the likes of Yates, Goody, Bleier, Layne, Coke, Swarzak, Parker with Shreve being their steady LH.

    Am I missing something?

    Hope knucklehead Pineda holds them.
I think Eduardo is going to be tough on the Yanks tonight.
He beat them in July, 7 IP 1 ER....
    ...otherwise he's been a gas can with a 5.93/ 1.56.
He might be one of those guys who becomes an AllStar when he plays the Yanks.

    Not a bad idea.
Maybe they'll call Austin up here.
Hicks certainly should not be the "obstacle" keeping Austin or Refsnyder from getting playing time.

Looks like the Redsox have a Yankee killer with Eduardo Rodriquez.

So far in two starts vs Yanks 13 IP, 2 ER....
    ....and counting.
    The fukn gas can.

Not a spectacular outing But at least old Pinky only gave up 2 runs. Looks like 1 run is insurmountable at this point. Lets see how the Boston Pen will do . Ed Rod, look at his ERA and record and the Yankees turn him into Cy Young.
