Nice to see Draymond and Barnes getting minimal PT.

A French 3 at the buzzer makes it 100-97 USA. Against a basically Parker-less (not to mention Noah and Fournier-less) France. A French team that the Aussies DESTROYED in their first game.

I honestly think we should be playing amateurs in the Olympics. Even if other countries are putting In NBA caliber players. These guys are playing down on their ability. I liked that the Olympics once gave our best talent a show case for upcoming glory. Players would be motivated to play at the highest level. Guys you'd see rubbing shoulders in the NBA in a few years.

The Olympic baseball team was always like this. It had players who you'd see as future stars. Of course the IOC got rid of baseball and so the Commissioner started the World Baseball Classic. Which helped promote the game better.
Now they realized they fucked up and are bringing it back in 2020. But thanks IOC. You complete morons.

Why? The only possible reason is so, if you're beaten, you can say "well, if we'd've sent our BEST players we'd've won!"

I won't be suprise if the USA don't win the gold. There defense in the pick and roll been terrible and straight up defense there getting beat alot.

I like it when the playeers have a common goal they are all passionate about (Like the Dream Team.) But sometimes it seems like we have "medal hangover." It's similar to what happens to Brazil, Italy or Germany in the WC. They win it all.... then the next time around some of the same players are like "Ohhh ho hum." But I realize there is not much you can do about this.

The US team's main problem has been defense. Maybe they should use a Lowry-Thompson-George-Green-Jordan lineup more.

I think Kyrie is the one that is hurting them. He's got a team of scorers and he insists on going possessions without passing the ball once. What's worse is his coach has an irrational love for him and enables it. It's been OK so far. Might cause a misstep if it continues in the medal rounds.

Really poorly constructed "team." 0 fucks given to chemistry and fit. I feel like they got scared when Curry/Kawhi/Dame/Russ/etc declined and they panicked into picking the biggest remaining names. Not a great idea.
