Gary - I think he is the "best" person running although I don't know much about the green party woman. I would want to hang out with GJ and I believe that he is actually a principled man. That being said, I am philosophically opposed to libertarianism so I will not be voting for him. Also, SCJ matter to me. But I fully understand why people are voting for GJ, and it is possible for me to still make a protest vote in his favor, but unlikely. Pot - I smoke pot a couple times a month, I enjoy it, and it has no lasting effects on me. To each his own.
Perhaps he is! But his message is not. I don't much care if the bulk of you munch, smoke, or chew all the pot your taste craves. I do object to a man that wants to be the leader sending the message to young people that pot is fine, nothing to fear! If he told the truth an said the correct message, If you just want to get by, live a life of fulfilling less than your potential, then smoke pot, it will do the trick. Don't get me wrong, I am not in favor of putting pot users in jail. However, I can't say the same for sellers (unlicensed) and no, I see nothing racist about it.
Comparisons with alcohol are really irrelevant. Except perhaps alcohol abusers can be rehabilitated with greater success.
