I guess you are a regulator too, since you make a lot of noise? Those bastards, feeding children. They should knock that off. And making manufacturers tell us what's in food, that's awful. We'd be so much better off if we just shoved stuff in our mouths without thinking about what it is. Yes, they are most certainly to blame for anyone who gets fat. barfo
"Anecdote." A 175 lb male runs 3 miles at 10 minutes/mile pace. Burns 135kcal per mile. There are 488 kcal in 100g of snickers bar. Oh, exercise is beneficial. It builds muscle and gives the heart a workout. For losing weight? Not so much. The real win is eating less.
These bastards are feeding poison to the children. Yeah, it is something to ponder before giving more powers to government. For years, there were soda machines in the schools. Not sure if many still do. I'm not so sure pizza and spaghetti are what we want the nanny state feeding the keto ds at gunpoint (truancy laws). If government says fat will kill you and makes food makers put "high in fat" on the labels, gullible people will not eat the fatty food. It ain't rocket science. You really have no clue what this big government you want does, either good or bad. Hint: not much of it ends up good.
The world is full of athletes that disprove this..my son has a degree in the subject and is in incredible shape and health...overeating is a problem but it's not just that....every 176 lb male running that 3 miles has different metabolism and different bood chemistry...a different sized liver and different sugar levels. If you do it right....excercising is like waking up....a habit that takes practice and you don't need to lose weight to begin with...I worked with several fat people who lost weight on the no carb diet and in the end were still fat people but not as fat....I worked with a guy who jogged and played soccer but ate a terrible diet and stayed pretty fit....we are different and eating healthy food, excercising and getting the proper rest are the same key to health now that they were in 1950...the FDA doesn't monitor my quarter acre garden or my orchard.
Anyhow, a massive percentage of our healthcare needs are directly related to the government recommended diet. Diabetes, for example. Big spike after 15 years of putting on the pounds.
Increasing the heart rate burns fat...sweating burns fat...I was a distance runner when young and got into shape running on a trampoline to sweat...wrestlers do anything to sweat to make their target weight....Denny you are confusing repair with preventative methods
Athletes do play by different rules. A tiny fraction of the population are athletes enough. The FDA and other agencies trained you what to grow. Indoctrination over the years. You are growing foods the step up from the bottom of the food pyramid. The pyramid is almost entirely upside down.
You think they'd be better off without lunch? Interesting viewpoint. There is absolutely nothing that you do not blame on the goverment, is there? If you stub your toe, the gummint made you do it. barfo
FDA didn't teach me anything about good homegrown food...I grew up on a 300 acre dairy farm and didn't eat any fast food until I was in the military... junk food made me sick. I grew up around a culture that didn't have these problems and even where I live now, there's not an obese person in my neighborhood..lifestyle choices
Heart rate doesn't burn fat. Fat is metabolized through lipolysis. It's a chemical reaction. Your energy expenditure requirements do signal the hormones to be put in the bloodstream to metabolize what it can. Either carbs or protein or fat or alcohol. If you load up on carbs, you will burn those during exercise. You can only store so much glucogen. When you run out, your muscles ache and you hit the wall. Then the body will turn to burning fat and protein. Protein is metabolized slowest, and you really don't want to burn muscle. Sweat is water weight.
And certainly, the government has NEVER advised you to eat less, have they? http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/01/business/01food.html?_r=0 barfo
Sure. Government blames us. We eat too much and don't exercise enough. Yet the less people eat and more they exercise, the more obese society gets. Government at work!
ok.....so enjoy your electric scooter and bread free lifestyle....personally I don't eat beef or drink soda...heartrate absolutely causes the body to burn fat and sweating will open the pores an detox the burning fat......I'm 6 ft tall, 178 lbs and never get sick at 62....want to play tennis?
Is Denny really upset that the government doesn't recommend the exact diet for children that he uses as a 60yr old man?
