Short Version: he's a shooting big - a Blazers kind of guy. However, we don't have roster space for him. 6'10", shot 41.2% from 3 for IDA last year.
Isn't this the same thing as signing a "camp arm" for NFL training camp? I mean.... I wish the guy luck but we are stacked.
Yeah, it's just a training camp signing. However, we are not "stacked" in terms of shooting big men. In fact, we have so few shooting big men that we've turned our starting SF into a PF to improve our shooting, and will probably give one of the most foolish big men in the game a significant amount of PT, just because he can shoot.
Training camp and preseason are where guys like him get a shot to outperform a bottom feeder on the bench....this guy might school Connaughton or Layman and take a roster spot but he needs to beast to crack the roster
You never know what Neil is up to but yea he is in camp to compete for the 14 and 15 spot. Does he have chance sure why not shoots the 3 and looks like have good post moves. Defense I don't know.
