Definitely, OSU students should understand diversity and inclusion. OSU is a diverse campus made up of both white people and cows, and both groups should have mutual respect.

Bias Response Team? Isn't that what Uma Thurman's tv pilot was about in Pulp Fiction?

Wait, it was something else I think. Damn, getting old.

This should be a requirement for former OSU students too.

The cancellation of The Nightly Show is a good counterbalance to this.

When and how is OSU going to address their major problem of professors pushing their bias on the students?

Or are all of the professors with biased agendas on the Bias Response Team?

Shouldn't they be forced to take another class called "How To Be 75,000 in Debt and Live With Your Parents Till You're 30!" College is just big business and I hate it more every fucking day.

How is it just big business?

Also, kids with 75k in debt are stupid. If you stay at an in state college that is public like oregon state, tuition and books are like 2500/term.

College is a good thing, just dont be a history major. Major in a STEM field.

Ha, did both. The closest I got to a job in History/English was finding family crests and putting them on mugs and mouse pads.

I see a lot of grads taking low paying jobs, biding their time until they land one in their field. Trade school takes about 6 months to a year for most. You can earn a good living if you are a skilled tradesman. Got to be better than serving coffee. Seems to me that would make an arts major more feasible. 3/4 years in college, one in trade, never out of work or earning minimum wage.

Yeah i have no issues with trade schools. Electricians, pipefitters etc. Make a great living. My wife is a dental assistant, went to school for a year and makes $20/hour now.

I went to school and got bachelor degrees in accounting and marketing, graduated in 09 during a job recession and still was able to find work. Ill never be out of a job with my accounting degree. I told myself i wouldnt get a job in tax, but when those were the ones being offered i took it. The marketing degree....most of the job offers were for sales positions and i aint a salesman.

Because some of us CAN'T do STEM.

I suck at math and science is boring. Eventually there's going to be so many engineers that the market will be watered down and they won't make shit.

Or business. Or marketing. Or law. There are options. Point is--control spend and pick something worthwhile.

Maybe. A lot of those industries have a ton of baby boomers looking to retire soon.

Take tax preparers. Baby boomers dominate that industry. You go to continuing education seminars and there are a bunch of people in their 50's. Im also the youngest one at 30 attending. They will all retire in the next 5 to 10 years, and tax return prep will go up if the hole filled by the baby boomers isnt filled.
