Daily Southtown - According to a league source, the Bulls have offered the Grizzlies a package that includes Ben Gordon, P.J. Brown and a first round draft pick in return for Pau Gasol, who has requested a trade. The source also said Brown would be included in any trade made before the deadline. "They have more value today than when the season started," Paxson said of Gordon and Luol Deng. "Everybody in this league would love to have Lu Deng and Ben Gordon. I'm glad we have them."I was hoping we would offer deng not gordon. Being Gordon is our only pure shooter. But I trust paxsonI just dont wanna c kirk play SG nomore

I seriously think that is a dumb trade. Gasol is a stud and everything but I think Ben Gordon is the face of the bulls right now. He is there go to guy in the clutch...he has done so much for the bulls already in his young career I just think this is a dumb move by paxson

I would rather the bulls keep both of them! Gasol seriously isnt going to make the big shot you need to win games! Those 2 can...Why does Paxson have such a man crush on heinrich Domain?

I dont wanna see us part ways with Gordon, hes just too good of a scorer to let him go. Id rather trade Deng considering we have Nocioni, Thomas, and Viktor who can all play the small forward positionpaying Wallace wasnt really a big mistake, when you want a quality big man your gonna have to pay a lot. There are soo many centers who havent even done anything who are getting paid a sh*t load too. Nene, Wilcox, Dampier, Foyle, Kaman, Nesterovic, Chandler theres more.

I am for this trade except I do not think they should trade Gordon. They should trade Deng instead.

I don't really want anymore competition in the East so as a Piston's fan I hate this trade but if I'm Chicago or Memphis I think seriously about pulling the trigger on it. Gordon, Gay, and Warrick would be a nice little lineup in the future for Memphis and getting Gasol isn't bad for Chicago either.

That would be a very nice deal for the Bulls imo. They would be set to make the Finals in my opinion, or atleast ECF...Is this the Knick's pick that they are offering, or their own?

they only have 1 first round pick.. they just have the option of choosing which between the two of the teams has the better pick

I think is about the best offer that the grizz are going to get. No teams are going to give up a player as good as Gordon IMO. Plus the 1st rounder.....The Grizz would be set for the future if they took this trade. If Gasol hadn't demanded a trade, this would obviously be a bad deal for them, but considering the circumstances, its pretty good IMO.

It wouldn't set Chicago for the finals, they still lack a consistent scorer. Gasol is a nice go to guy but they need a guard IMO, Pistons have big men they could throw at Gasol and Miami has Haslem and Zo they could throw at Gasol so it wouldn't set them for the finals. I have no doubt in my mind that Sheed couldn't guard Gasol in the playoffs.

With Gasol, they would have a pretty damn consistent scorer. And with a big man in the middle that can score on the offensive end, that would clear up space for Hinrich to step in and score some points. Deng would also profit from this alot as well. Gordon is a one dimensional player, and whenever I watch him, im not that impressed to be honest. He takes alot of dumb shots, and he is pretty selfish too. A guy like Gasol IMO, would lead them to the finals. The East is just so weak right now....

I like this deal and hope that it goes down. We get a still young 20 ppg SG who has emerged fast in the NBA and still has a lot of potential to be even better. Then, I think PJ Brown is a 8 million expiring contract, which I could be wrong, but that would be nice come off-season. Then the Knicks 1st round pick, which would be a top 10 pick giving Memphis two lottery picks.
