I would definitely recommend either of those places then, depending on what is closer to you and easier to get to. They have the same owner. I prefer Stammtisch, but that is more for the vibe than anything else. I also think the food at Stammtisch hits the mark a little better.

That's incorrect. You will need to go to Munich if you want to partake in the best Oktoberfest celebration. I went with dad while he was stationed in Germany for a couple of years.

The only other celebration I recommend is China's New Year and Lantern Festival.

Of course, you'll need to travel internationally to experience and understand the true meaning of both celebrations!

I was going for local lol but going to Germany is on my bucket list, going to Oktoberfest in Munich has to be fantastic.

HOWEVER, from SEPT 15-18 I recommend the Mt. Angel one, also... Try out the Fish taco stand. I know, it's blasphemy to get that at a German festival but damn they are good lol

I dunno about Oktoberfest. I'd probably be only to drink shitloads of beer for one day. I missed it in Munich by a week a few years ago. Went by the hofbrauhaus though which was fun.

Rhinelanders is a good time. I also love Saylers. I've never actually been to Ringside. Dunno 40th bday is coming up and might do a nice dinner somewhere but want it to be an institution.

Urban Farmer, has a sweet library with pool table, fun room to drink whisky in before dinner - then departure afterwards is fun on a summer night overlooking pioneer square.

Ringside is my go to place for celebration. I might like the Fish House better than the Steakhouse as well.

I'm a big sushi guy so even though they don't have a party atmosphere with awesome booze, Bamboo Sushi is my preferred place for grub. One time I even had dinner with C.J. McCollum there. He didn't know as he was sitting with his back to me, but I still count it.

Grolsh gives me headaches as do many beers, some sort of allergy, but those red washers on the cap make great strap locks for your guitar or other strapped instruments.

Never thought about that! Great idea! I do have a guitar that I use the rubber tip from a metal clothes hangar in place of the bulky plastic one on most switches. On that same guitar I used 1971 Marantz stereo knobs with the notch on top....best volume/tone knobs on earth!

When ever i went up id hit mcminnamins cause i loved the terminator stout. Neat little golf course at the one near portland if i remember right. Was my favorite spot in bend cause of the cigar bar in the back.

My guitar strap is the seat belt from a Delta airlines plane. I have an insane friend who boosted two of them and gave me one. It latches on and off perfectly to my American Standard Strat. I would have never done this myself, as I am a respectful person. But it works soooooo perfectly. I am probably on the no fly list after this post. Dammit.
