He's polling closer and closer to the 15% required by the republican-democrat cabal to get into the debates. He's drawing votes from Hiliar, too. 6.4% he takes from Hiliar, 4.2% from Trump. But it's barfo math. Go Johnson.
I think she's getting the Sanders never voted before crowd. It's clear that Johnson is polling close to 10%, or 10x more than last time around. There's certainly a protest Trump vote, but that wouldn't affect Hiliar's votes.
Actually, I'm a registered Democrat and have voted Democrat in every presidential election since 1972....except for 1996. Bill Clinton fooled me the first time around but not the second (though the wrong Dole was running for president that year). And I am most eagerly looking forward to voting for Johnson this fall....as a protest against yet another Clinton (along with the fact that I think Johnson is qualified and I align with a good portion of his platform). I think more than a few Democrats feel the same way. Trump isn't even a factor in our decision, as it's hard to protest what you don't take seriously.......
I've been watching interviews of Johnson as often as I can and I like the guy. Last interview I heard he rode his bicycle 14 miles to give...he rode from New Mexico to Napa on his bike and had spinal surgery before he did these things....climbed Everest....skis 120 times a year....I doubt Trump even pushes his own elevator buttons. Johnson is the change maker out of the whole field. If you want to get drama out of the presidency...he's the best choice and it's not even close. Johnson won't hassle you for your choices as long as they don't harm someone else.
Stein tried to give her party nomination to Bernie Sanders and he wouldn't even return her calls.....she doesn't have a shot
At winning? Obviously. I won't vote for someone simply because they have a shot at winning. I wouldn't be a Blazers fan if I cared that much about having a realistic shot at winning. Oh and Johnson doesn't have a shot either.
Trump's "what do you have to lose?" argument is compelling, but not to vote for Trump. It's not to vote Democrat or Republican. The election isn't a done deal until the voter counters "count" the ballots. You never know, Johnson might (he should!) win. If Johnson doesn't win, it'll be another "let's try one of the two parties and not be happy with the direction of the country some more." Johnson is at least lending credibility to the Libertarian Party to at least 10% of the voters and likely many more who insist on voting against one of the awful two main party candidates. We will win at some point. It's REAL progress.
If Libertarians ever win, which I doubt they will in my lifetime, we'll all quickly see that electing a libertarian isn't some sort of a cure, and people will be just as unhappy with the direction of the country as ever - probably more so. Just because it's different doesn't mean it fixes anything. barfo
