Did not sweep but 2/3 is ok. Yankees beat this Cracktown team 5 in a row from last series through today. Now on to Kansas City then right back to Cracktown for 3 more with Uncle Bucks Team.
Yanks need a win streak...a nice modest "run of the mill" 5-6 game win streak which (likely) makes them gain a couple games on the WC competition in relatively short time particularly since they're playing a few of those teams head to head. And the other "WC" teams will also be playing each other. Baltimore did what they needed to do in this particular series- they avoided a sweep preventing the Yanks from becoming an immediate urgent threat being 1 game behind them. Buck is sleeping much better tonight. Taking 2/3 may be "okay" for the Yanks but it's also okay for Baltimore. Yanks now 3.5 games behind WC, and one small losing streak away from being in deep shit.
^^^^^consider how this Yankee team played before the trade deadline......frustrated and boring with no hope for a playoff game. Now with the injection of youth in this lineup, there is hope........... it may or may not pay off this year, but I'll be damned, the upcoming years look much brighter!
