Those 26 missed shots are negative, but he has also hit a boatload as well, and is still considered one of the most clutch of all time.BCB, I think you're a smarter fan than media, that's why you have your case. Media overrated Jordan.

He had a gambling problem, he cheated on his wife, he put his teammates down and told them not to pass to Bill Cartwright late in games, nobody ever remembers those type of negative things about his career.</div> I admired Jordan as a basketball player, he was the best. Everyone has faults. Why should I bother dragging up his gambling problem or cheating on his wife. Hell everyones moved on with Kobe, why should it be an issue anymore? Jordan was a dominant/strong personality and demanded everyone work as hard as him...I've had teachers like that and they drive me mad...I don't like people like that and can understand players not liking him because of it.

Side note:I heard that when MJ made an appearance on the Opra show, that he stated he doesn't like tip at restaurants. Ever... Even Barkely wrote a bit about it in his book "I could Be Wrong, But I doubt It" and I think it's a pretty well known fact. I mean how the F*ck does a guy as rich as Jordan NOT tip at a restaurant? That's just being an ***hole! Heh, regardless he was a phenomenal player, and the best ever. Nobody can deny that.

As far as not hearing anything negative about MJ, that is certainly not true. Whenever you watch any sort of piece on him you always hear about how he was called selfish early in his career, how he was a ballhog, etc., and cared only about personal stats, etc. Why would you hear about the games he shot 1-25 or whatever? That's not his legacy... his legacy is all the great things he accomplished, and that's what you hear about. It's not like we think he never had a bad game, because we know he did.And about missing 26 game winning shots in his career... I guarantee you he made more than 26 too, and you can't make 'em if you don't take 'em.

How in the world could u say he is overrated? The guy is at such a young age, and is already leading a team to the playoffs, All Star MVP, and this is just a START! You all know how old the KID is? He will break more records then any of you can dream of, he is going to win about 3-4 Rings(IMO), and is going to be a HOF already at his age when it is all said and done. Overrated? Puff, Puff Pass....About the "Team" Being overrated, I disagree. I know for a fact that Gooden can't help this team for sh*t, Zeek is slower then a dam snail, and Hughes can't stay 100% threw the whole season. Also we don't have a PG. We have Eric Snow. The team of, "PG-Snow, SG-Hughes, SF-James, PF-Gooden, C-Z" Is clearly not the answer. Of course, we have a bum as a coach who knows nothing. Losing vs. the Magic as they where hitting almost ever shot they took, the idiot stayed in ZONE Defense. I just can't take this moron anymore.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>How has Michael Jordan been overrated? I watched MJ win titles in his prime, watched HUNDREDS of his games, I don't think he's been overrated by fans and media for what he did on the court. He's labeled the best ever for a reason...Wilt Chamberlain overrated by the media? How?Sure some fans go overboard on Jordan...but for the most part he's as great as advertized.</div>He was overrated. That was just the media doing what it does best. But now, Jesus! People act like he will never be touched. That's simply bullsh**.Wilt was never overrated. Most of the fans and media perseved him as a selfish, egotistical ballhog. The NBA constantly changed the rules just to give the other players an advantage over him.

No, I dont think he is.And MJ won most of his rings when he WASNT in his prime.....</div>I couldn't tell if that was a sarcastic remark.. But Jordan won his first ring when he was 28 years old.
