Because t-ball is an accurate representation of what baseball really is.

That's like saying BGD is a good representation of what S2 posters are. ;)

    Sorry, BGD, I love you.

So your own personal hell is Harry Carey forever singing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game?" That does actually sound pretty bad. I'm still fully pulling for the Cubs to win the Series though. Yank's aren't going to make it.

I'd love to see the Cubs make it... been a fan since the 90's... when it was just WGN and TBS showing Cubs or Braves... Always been following since (more a fan of the mariners now, but always root for the cubs)

Bwahahaha. A baseball player barely does shit over the course of a game.

Except for only a few pitches once every couple innings, a batter is sitting on his ass chewing bubblegum, rocking his chain necklace. Defensively they play on average about 1 ball every 3 innings or so.

Meanwhile, it's not even a team sport offensively.

So much standing around, waiting for the next pitch that will likely be meaningless or uneventful in regards to progress towards a score.

    "The real sport" my ass

So when a player bunts a player over to 2nd to put him in scoring position, the batter did that all for himself?

When a player hits a sacrifice fly to score a run, he did that all himself?

    Just for clarification.

They sure get paid a lot of money to do nothing every three innings. But don't worry. Americans are being taught that part of our culture is uncool. And that we should kill that the sport off in a generation. If we're lucky. Anything that doesn't figure in with our micro-attention spans should be destroyed. God forbid we value something to remind us of the importance of ritual.

You know what, Those defense only players in football only play ON DEFENSE...lazy bums. Baseball players do BOTH.

But, lets ignore that fact, right? lol.

I use to hate on baseball players for not being real athletes. then I went to a batting cage with 30mph balls. This should be nothing I thought. 30 mph was fucking hard. I then thought holy shit 90-100mph must be insane. the amount of skill just to hit the fucking thing is incredible, let alone the ability to throw it. I still don't enjoy baseball, but I respect the athletes as being talented now.

Baseball has been tainted to me since my love of the 90's Rangers were all found to be punks on steroids.

Juan Gonzalas, Rafael Palmiero... I loved those guys. When I heard they were on the juice too, I lost it for baseball. That and Alex Rodriguez killed the game for me.
Its all about the money and drugs.. Stats are not true. Almost all modern records should have an asterisk next to them now...

    Fuck Baseball....

You probably just suck at baseball. I haven't played baseball since 5th grade but I went to a batting cage recently I was able to hit 75 mph balls.

If I open the window, I can hit a baseball passing me at 65 mph while I'm on the freeway.

Yeah, except they only move about 5 or so times a game on defense, and bat 3 or so times a game on offense. A defensive player has to move every single play and that not only involves running, it involves cutting and physicality, neither of which are present in baseball.

I would say that Baseball requires the least amount of athleticism to succeed of all the major sports, however, it requires the best eye/hand coordination of all the major sports to succeed.
