Piney can't even go five, those kids like Mitchell, Cessa, and to a point Sevey will have to come up huge if the Yankees are to be successful in this final run.
I got that same feeling, when I was reading about Joe getting on Castro for getting out of the box slow, sometime last week, no more Cano's....! Clean it up, or ship it out, would of been a fitting message...
Pitching for the Yankees is their sore point. It always is a mix & match effort to get to the game's conclusion. Tonight is no different. Yankee fans have been hearing for several years that the starters must pitch six to seven innings in order to save the relievers. Tanaka is their only starter to pitch into the later innings. CC & Pineda just cannot get there....... my guess is that both are not in prime condition. Relievers on this team are also having a tough time.......thank you, starters.
Yep, with the Prima Donnas and Slackers gone and a bright eyed bushy tailed young cadre its a new day on the '16 Yankees and a return to the past when it meant something to put on those pinstripes. Right now Yogi can handle that 8 on those uniforms.
Betances and the rain is a test of patience. The umpires botched the rain delays tonight. There was no need for the previous two.
Rain Delays and Pitching changes are not good for this team. Yankees need to start looking for a legit closer, Dellin is not a good answer.
