The solution isn't hiring more cops of color Denny. It's fixing the issue of poor training, AND fixing the issue of suspects not complying AND fixing the media agenda on this shit.

 

If you mix black cops and black neighborhoods you're going to end up with blacks getting shot by black cops.
If you mix asian cops and black neighborhoods you're going to end up with blacks getting shot by asian cops.
If you mix latino cops and black neighborhoods you're going to end up with blacks getting shot by latino cops.
If you mix transgender cops and black neighborhoods you're going to end up with blacks getting shot by transgender cops.

It was a black cop that shot the guy in Charlotte and still there were riots. This whole thing is hyper-sensitive right now and people are reacting with anger. Where the white perspective is generally that each incident has to be looked at separately based on the facts, it seems to me that BLM jumps to lumping them all together as a sign that there's a bigger problem where blacks are being killed disproportionately. The fact is that both views are correct.

Yes, Me to. I will concede that is entirely impossible to decide in a split second when a suspect is not cooperating and possibly high on drugs, what you should do. It's not like they can run away, and tasering only works sometimes. What's the alternative then? Do we stop having police approach suspects? Maybe communicate with them through a bull-horn while inside an armored car so they can't get shot at? Do you tranquilize a suspect because they do not cooperate? What happens if that doesn't work, or they miss?

 

I actually came up with an idea to fix this while at work today. Instead of a cop getting a paid vacation after a shooting, this.

If you shoot and kill anyone while on duty you get three months off UNpaid. Right or wrong you stay home.

It is like a certain job at my work, replacing a frame rail on a car. It pays almost nothing and is about the hardest job we do. If I tell someone I need to replace one I NEED to do it.
