    His fame was well deserved. I saw him play with a bad back, and he was still elite.

    This seems like a particularly bad year for losing people who are treasures.

    Arnold Palmers are delicious.. Sadly I know absolutely nothing about the man other than he was a golfer.

    I got to meet him at the Fred Meyer Challenge in 2002 (along with Jacobsen and a few others). He was great to be around and treated me well.

    This one seems like an anomaly... both people who are up in age AND those not expected to go so soon have fallen.... this one seems WAY more than any other year I can remember... we still have 2 months left but this year, in this context, has just felt like a proverbial blow after blow.
