AV must be whacking his French Canadian pecker over Clendening. Another puck moving defenseman. Though, I must admit the PP looked better with him running it in the first period than with Yandle running it all last season. Thank God they added another righty shot in Zibanejad. What a difference right off the bat.

Sadly, thick headed AV will never bench Girardi.

I'll tell ya, if Clendening has a good preseason it's possible you may see McIlperson on the waiver wire. They need another nimble dman on the team.

A bomb from Big mac from the point which is the reason braindead AV will not be able to put him on waivers. What a shot!!

Training period is just that.........training. First off, congrats to Sam Rosen, awarded the Foster Hewitt in Hockey's
    Hall of Fame for announcers.

Enjoyed the speed of the squad.

A big plus going into this season, there are no high expectations. And prognosticators
see this team as a middle of the pack hockey club. Many do not see Rangers as a playoff team.
It should be an interesting year.

Didn't like seeing Tanner Glass cruising around in the lineup. After 37 career games, most with limited minutes, highly unlikely any poster on this board could accurately determine McIlrath's NHL readiness but guys who can shoot like him are hardly a dime a dozen. Girardi and Staal are the guys that have to impress me, they're making a lot of money. I like that the Rangers have a lot of guys in camp to push competition. Always good to see them beat the fishsticks preseason or not.

Glass is finished. Bodie and Jensen are not NHL players from what I saw. McIlrath is going nowhere. Kid is getting better and better. Klein won't be dealt because Girardi stinks until proven otherwise. Never could figure out why Clendening wasn't given a full 80 game schedule on some team. The kid clearly has major skill runnning a PP. p

Ottawa must have been drunk trading Zibanejad. Geez. For all I ripped Gorton he deserves major props from that trade. That kid has a chance to be a franchise center. His skill set is clearly higher than Brassard's or Stepan's. Kreider looks like he's more confidence. Buchnevich looked better than he did at the Traverse where I think he didn't care. Skjei when he gets more experience is a potential shut down guy. He has a ton of skill. Still holds the puck too long sometimes but he'll figure that out.

McIlrath isn't going anywhere 71. We all know you hate him for no reason at all. :) The tough part is whether Gorton sends Girardi to the minors for a couple of years then buys him out. The one thing I sense about Gorton is that he isn't going to let AV do what he wants this year with roster choices. He seems like he's going to be more of a hardass this year. I respect Girardi a ton. However, if Clendening can play the PP like that and hold his own on defense. He's gonna play over Girardi. Not McIlrath.

Girardi was allowed to take the time away from dylan that he deserved last year and gorton needs to make sure AV doesn't do it again this year.

He should but in general I was hopeful for a different tone on this board for this season. Unfortunately, it's just going to go from where it left off which will keep more people away than not.

Spare me the crybaby shit of the tone of the board 717. Sorry if people in our fan base are sick and tired of our coach putting out shit lineups because he's a stubborn jackass who won't stop playing unproductive scrubs because he plays favorites.

People didn't stop coming to this board because of the tone. They stopped coming to the board because they started to see that the Rangers sucked and there was no hope last year. That the team wasn't going anywhere. Many of them spouted out crap that the team was fine and they are embarrassed to show up because what many of us told them about the team not being built for the playoffs was exactly what ended up happening.

Now to me, the offense is something to get excited about. Love the Zibanejad move. Pirri signing looks like it might pay huge dividends. Forwards are deeper, faster and more talented. Yet, that stupid bastard AV still has Glass out there. Gorton should have cut him before the start of camp. Defensively I have no faith in AV to stop playing Girardi because he has proved with Glass and Girardi that he's a huge dumb fuck.

Dump you have a child like mentality. If what you say was true nobody on any board would've posted about the Rangers for years. You need to come up with something a bit more intelligent than that. Oh yeah it's because people are embarrassed. I'd me embarrassed to actually believe something like that. If you have a board that's an inviting place with good intelligent conversation people will stick around. When every single post is the same monotonous broke record is gets old and tired quick.

The team last year was fucking boring. They had no speed. The defense was full of bumbling idiots who never cleared the crease and brought nothing to the team. The PK sucked all year. They were too small up front at positions. The team was going nowhere. When that happens fans don't post a lot. Forwards look very promising this yea.r Problem is our dumbass coach can't get over Girardi. That is where Gorton needs to buy him out, banish him to the minors or simply fire AV if he won't play McIlrath. Torts tried the same crap with Kreider. They canned him.

They have hopefully somewhat hit the reset button. You can't have everything change overnight. It's not going to happen nor is it realistic. It's only preseason but through two games some of the new faces look pretty good. It's nice to have some decent depth around instead of the thin roster I felt they had last year.

Just looking at first 2 games have a lot of forward depth and could see a trade before start of season for a top rd. Girardi is major problem this year as buyout hamstrings team for years, nmc eliminates sending to minors and if on team AV will use for major minutes again (ugh). Gorton needs to package him with some of the aforementioned depth and find a new home for him.
how close do you guys think graves looked last night?
