The United Russia Party's popularity has declined from its peak of 64.4% in the 2007 Duma elections, to 49.32% in 2011 elections. With this Majority of crony's backing all Putin's wishes, dreams of a new Soviet Russia; its obvious Russia will consume other ex-Soviet block nations slowly to feed his economy, which has faltered since sanctions; and less prosperous times. Sanctions since 014 have reduced Russia's GNP by approx 4%, not much yet enough to wreak turmoil in their economy, during a volatile time of oil prices, et al Pukin's vision to re-claim old Soviet Union territories has been clearly noted since the day he invaded Georgia, killing without discretion. The KGB (Vlad's ex-employer) is much a force now as it ever was in the Cold War. An ever growing Russia is necessary under Putin's eyes, for its hopeful added economical growth or stimuli to Russia's overall bumbling stumbling economy. I don't believe Putin wants the other half of the Ukraine, now that he's established 50% of it. It's my belief Putin's next move/annexation is part of Kazakstahn, which leads hi to the Middle east. Now Russia's Communist Party only makes up 19% of Duma, (was 50% during Gorby's reign, tho' he was able to appease hard liners alike). Georgia's Prime Minister candidates not in favor; or aligned with Pukin's Soviet Russia vision quest, have had acid thrown in their faces, radiation therapies with deadly doses administered, et al on and on,.... then Crimea, half of the Ukraine, Syria, all with boots on the ground, those in the East Ukraine have long been Soviet Communism sympathizer's, and one can't really draw any distinction b/t the supposed 'rebels' or Russian Forces.....
