I make game threads for a site, and I just thought I would post them over here too. LeBron James is coming off a season-high 39 point, 10-rebound effort against Philadelphia on Wednesday. He scored 13 points in the second overtime which is the most points ever scored by a Cavalier in an overtime period. His 39 points were the most ever scored by a Cavalier against the 76ers.? Larry Hughes posted 26 points (tied for his second highest output of the season) and hit on a season-high five three-pointers against Philadelphia on Wednesday. He has averged 17.4 points and shot .421 (8-19) from three-point range over the last five games.? Anderson Varejao has grabbed at least seven rebounds in eight of the last nine games. "The doctor suggested it would be good to give him the additional rest. It's just sore."Brown said he did not expect James to miss Sunday's home game against the Phoenix Suns (ABC, 1 p.m. ET).James, who leads the voting for next month's All-Star Game, originally injured his toe on a West Coast swing earlier this month. He aggravated it in a double-overtime home loss to the Sixers on Wednesday, skipping a team workout Thursday and recording an appearance on the "Late Show with David Letterman" in New York.Cleveland started out the New Year with four straight wins but has lost five of six games. In Wednesday's loss, James scored a season-high 39 points, including 13 in the second overtime. The Sixers are coming off consecutive wins for the first time since late December of last year.Link
Thank, underrated.Question, is there a way I can get my game threads pined and taken off after the night is over?Just asking, no big deal. Just another way to get the Cavs board rolling! :happy0144:
76ers are BLOWING out this pathetic Cavs team without James.2nd worst team in the NBA is just owning the 2nd best team in the east, how pathetic.
Half time, the bleeding stops for a Lil bit.The Cavaliers are just a pathetic team without James. I have no idea what I was thinking that they could even play without James.Image if the guy was out Sunday vs. the Suns... Not like we are going to win anyway, but dang, we would love by like 70. Scary.
Breaking news.. We are 1-0 without LeBron for the season.. The Cavs without LeBron are clearly one of the worse teams in the league. I actually thought we were going to lose this one when we were down 17 points during halftime. Also, I had no freaking idea how Andre Miller got a triple double.. However, I am happy that we finally got a win after losing 3 straight games. Washington is sitting up top in the East followed by Detroit. We are in third place..Gooden was clearly the player of the game as he tallied 21 points, 10 rebounds. Marshall and Jones looked outstanding coming off the bench as they combined for 32 points. Hughes is getting back into his form I guess. He is finally shooting above 50% from the field. Oh and last but not least, Gibson was playing with heart tonight.. He made some huge shots at the end including some nice dimes. Mike Brown should seriously consider playing him more..Overall, it was a great game I guess. It's more of a battle between the worse teams in the league. It was a great decision to sit LeBron for this one. He needs as much time to rest as possible. Hopefully, his big toe is going to be healed when we face off the Phoenix Suns, who just won their 16th straight game. LeBron is definitely going to be back on Sunday when we face off against the Suns on ABC. Let's see if we can end their streak by then.http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=270126020

Last season we played I believe 2 games without him and Larry did a very nice job. Miller had a good ball game, the Cavaliers pretty much got some stops when needed and that helped there offense out big time.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (LeBronJamez @ Jan 26 2007, 11:52 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Gooden was clearly the player of the game as he tallied 21 points, 10 rebounds. I would give the game ball to Gibson, he was getting nailed left and right when going to the hoop, I guess the refs wanted to say "Welcome to the NBA Rook!". It was pretty bad that he was getting nailed and not one call was called. Until he got his head taking off and they called a foul. Gibson stepped up in the 4th, and he gets my game ball.Just think about this, Mike Brown has NEVER put in Gibson, Hughes, and James at the same time. He put in Hughes and Gibson, and it worked out great(obviously, we came back). That was the 1st time he put them in together. Now, if only Mike would start this lineup Sunday vs. the Suns... PG-Gibson, SG-Hughes, SF-James, PF-Gooden, C-Zeek. Now, only thing new is No Snow. I respect Snow a lot, but he is no longer good enough to start here in Cleveland. The Cavaliers have found there answer in Gibson, and Brown needs to stop f*cking around and put him in.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (LeBronJamez @ Jan 26 2007, 11:52 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Overall, it was a great game I guess. Very smart move to get him a day off here. I just hope he can play like he did last season vs. the Suns at the Q and we can end there 16 game winning streak.

Never trade away for Steve "Overrated" Nash!!!! Well, Nash and LeBron would be to good to stop, I still think Nash is overrated by the NBA, and some of the fans. He should of not won the MVP last season, Nash may avg 10 APG, But LBJ avg 30,7,7 a game. Something not many could do in a season...
just saying Nash is the 1 of 3 people who have had 19 PPG and 11 APG. I would not call him overrated.
Thats not the reason. We got people these days saying Nash is the best in the NBA, Nash should win the MVP.My point is, You got James, Kobe, Wade who are all better then Nash.Well, I guess that is just what I think.
like WTF its under! *back to the game*um Yeah so we came back and won. didnt watch cause I was at Blue Jackets game where they beat Buffalo!!!! Cavs won so kewl. whos next?
