<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"I know he's going especially hard on me because I'm a point guard and I respect that."</div>From the article http://www.hoopsworld.com/article_20561.shtmlI didn't realize how hard Doc Rivers is on Rondo. Everyone comes down on Doc for not being tough enough with the young guys, but it sounds like he is telling Rondo what he's doing wrong. The interesting part is, Rondo is OK with it whereas other players would be offended.

Damn you gotta stop reading these hoopworld articles. They put too much stock into little things that don't matter. Doc is hard on all of the kids. Rondos a great kid with an even better head about thing like this and an even better head for the game. Any coach would have critisized him and helped him out. Nothing wrong with this - Doc doing his job.

You're right -- Doc is doing his job.But that's the point. Everyone wants to come down on Doc for being to lax on the young guys and just letting them play out the rest of the season and get a high draft pick. Just because you don't feel that way, Yankshater, doesn't mean the majority of Boston fans don't.This shows that Doc is really trying to develop players and that he isn't letting things slide with the rookies.I don't think this article puts too much stock into anything. It's just showing that Doc really is trying, if anything.

I guess this is the difference between rondo and banks, for those who were comparing him. it's attitude. He can take this criticism to try to make himself better, whereas banks was taking it personally. banks already had a big ego that was getting shot down by doc. rondo doesn't have that ego.I love rondo.

bostonballin you love the quotesI'm glad he's hard on Rondo, that's not a bad thing, it probably means Doc really wants him to succeed and really thinks he's talented. It's a win-win situation.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Rondo is OK with it whereas other players would be offended</div>These players are professional athletes, they expect the coaches to be hard on them. Unless the player has a bad attitude, he won't get offended
