Rest up. Can't keep a good gal down. We'll meet along the way as the trade winds stir the baseball
    world. Be well.

Giants vs Mets should be a good game. Great pitching match-up if anything.

Prior to MLB .406, highlights of the 2016 season were show onw being Odor punching out Bautista. If Toronto faces Texas it could happen again.

ditto, as often as possible. We've had no probs keeping ourselves entertained here during what will be 3 off seasons, now. We get the Winter Meetings, trade talks, plenty of baseball and other to talk about, ie the POTUS bullshit elections, or "Illusion of Free Choice(s)"....

We will have the WBC early spring, (if I'm not mistaken), as well as some good NFL games, (Manning to Beckham or Carr to Crabtree and Cooper; Rodgers to Nelson). Plenty of NCAA-FBS yet to be played, plus we've got Hockey, or as one 5'9" Left Winger once told me; (with no racial intention here), Hockey the only sport where small white guys can play....

    Go Cubbies.....!!!

This has been a crazy year, one in which I've been in and out, often without a moments notice. The year began with my wife Kim losing her Father on my only blood brothers B'day, Jan. 28th; (Ironic?). Followed by the loss of way too many great musicians, and other infamous peeps: Bowie, Frey, Haggard, et al. My favorite out of 43 cousins passed in early June. My "oldest brother I never had" passed away on the last day of August. I flew to Detroit, drove an hour north to be at his funeral.

My buddy saw his first Tiger's home Opening Day in 1950, and 3 years later would tell Al Kaline the rookie, from the sidelines: "I've been coming to the park longer than you". (at 10 yrs old).***

I no sooner return home, and Kim's Mom passed last Tuesday on the very day I was born, many decades ago. Ironic? or simply destiny??? 1 reason, I've been in and out, ....(yet will return)....funeral will be tomorrow... if anyone would of told me, the woman you marry will be star crossed with your own path, and both her parents would oddly pass on your only brothers, and your own b'day. I'd of never believed it.

Here's an oddity, if you're captured on film, watching a sure to be eventual Hall of Famer warm up, (a SP), and you're mug is on the 1987 Topps card of that player, as your captured hanging over the rails watching warm ups. Wouldn't that make you a HOF Fan???? My buddy is the guy on the far right of the card, his Son in tow.

Hope to see ya'll on these boards in days, months, and years to come. There is always some crazy event going on in this world; nation, to not come to these boards in the/future. POTUS alone will keep us bonded to this board, lmao....:devilwink::biglaugh::bwpopcorn::craphead::cowboy::blazerwookie::drevil::notworthy::music::oldman::smiley-marinesalute:tiphat::tongue:

Besides, we've got to monitor Rick, and see if he can break the chains of the man-eater; or make a anonymous appearance every time Caitlyn Bruceifer makes headlines, or His Spiritual Adviser: (anything but) Reverend, Not So-Al Sharpton.... :smiley-pat: :sigh: :smiley-yikes:

After the way Boston Players stabbed Francona in the back during the '11 season, I'd like to see karma step up and have Boston taken out by Cleveland. Not only would Francona get a spot of payback it would take Big Sloppi right out of the lime light especially if he went 0-for the series. Beyond that I really have not much interest.
