I can totally agree with removing it from games. I never liked it there in the first place. But please people, do respect it when its going.

Not ONE of you in here complains about the fact that there are WELLS FARGO LOGOS on the flag during the anthem but have something to say about this.

    Please spare your selective outrage.

Don't deflect. I've been complaining about it for years. I even sent a complaint to the Blazers that went unheard. There are 4 logos, each at a corner of the flag, as the anthem plays. THIS is MUCH more offensive than any players kneeling or huddling.

The constitution starts off with these three words, in large print.

    WE THE PEOPLE

The problem is, when our constitution was written, “we the people” were only white males. No Blacks, no Native Americans, not even women could vote. None of them had a official say in our government.

A lot has changed since then, and more changes are coming. We are not perfect yet, but getting better.

To make everyone truly equal in our country is a long painful fluid process.

Please, by all means, get the logos off the flag. This is simply desecration. But the team huddling should stop too. I sure won't pay to see the team disrespect the nation and those that serve.

I don't disagree that they should be removed, but using this is apples to oranges when debating about honoring the anthem/country.

This post right here just goes to show that some white people are disconnected and fed media driven drivel without actual knowledge.
Considering there have been protests in the past week or so for a white man dying by unnecessary police force.
Your post just shows me you watch CNN too much.

There are a couple others in this thread who fall under this category as well.
    Too much CNN.

I think he was referring to black on black crime which is taking a huge back-seat compared to the police shootings, even though black on black crime is far and above more prevalent than police shootings.

I've already explained why the 3/5 compromise was enacted--to prevent the southern states from having more power than their free populations justified.

If you were one of the founding fathers, and you wanted to ensure that the southern states' egregious slave population didn't unfairly tip the balance of power in their direction, how would you suggest to counter their insistence that their involuntary population entitled them to more say in the government?

I'm aware what he was referring to.
Rarely does mainstream media report on it because it doesn't draw the ratings like violence does.
Considering there are far more peaceful protests than violent... that the Media won't report on due to ratings.
But if anyone believes people aren't trying to do something about the race on race murders then they are severely out of touch.

It's an old excuse I grew up hearing that was used by a previous generation.
The younger generation won't tolerate that excuse anymore because that excuse is just a way to sweep a problem under the rug.

So.... you think it's not disrespectful to the flag and anthem to have a corporation's logo on it?

Hell, not even all white males. Only white, land owning males could vote.

That is the problem though. The media and BLM pushing their agenda in the wrong direction. Police brutality exists, for every race. But if BLM REALLY wants to make a difference they should be focusing the majority of their efforts on the black on black crime epidemic in this nation. Instead they focus their attention on the smaller of the two issues and rarely touch on the thing that kills the black community the most.

You like to say dismissive shit like this when you have no intelligent retort or any facts to back up said retort. Also, I'm the only one you do this to and it's getting pretty tiresome. Bordering on personal insult as you're speaking directly to me.

Not only is it bush league debating, it shows that even when given new info your hardline stance is an agenda that you're promoting.

Edit: you gonna answer the question?

Do you think it's not disrespectful to the flag and anthem to have a corporation's logo on it?

    LOL. OK dude.

The reason I didn't address it is because it's a dumb question; and you're trying in your own way to dismiss or bypass the more important problem here, exactly what BLM does in a lot of its rally's.

White on white crime exists. But,

    1) not at the rate black on black crime occurs when you take into account 13% of the population. In 2015, reports say almost 6000 blacks were killed by other blacks by contrast only 258 were killed by police.

    2) you don't see large groups of mainly white people rioting, burning, looting, destroying their neighborhoods when some dumb-ass cop (black or white) shoots and kills a white person. Why is that?

When you say the logos are on the flag, do you mean on the flag they project onto the court during the anthem?
