<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (yankshater213 @ Jan 27 2007, 09:00 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Haha are you serious? An Adam Morrison with an average post game?Wow. I don't even know where to begin. Durant is a better scorer, rebounder, passer, defender, all around player. He's averaging 24/11/2 with more than 1.5 steals AND blocks a game, on 49% shooting, and 85% free throws, 12 double doubles in 19 games. I've watched Durant play many times this year, and this kid is a child turned man. You obviously didn't see how he basically carried Texas on his shoulders vs. OK State, even though they lost. If it wasn't for Mario Boggan hitting the game winner, Durant would be hailed a hero. In this game, down 5 with under a minute left, Durant hits a three, game goes to OT. Ties the game at 91 with a 3 with a minute left in double overtime, OK Stae goes up 93-91, Durant gets a block then goes the other way for a fastbreak dunk. Texas down 2, Durant gets a bucket under the hoop, and the foul, makes the free throw, they go up one, then Boggan hit the game winner. Heres a quote about him from an AP article recapping the game:This kid is going to be a star. He can do millions more things that Morrison can do. Morrison is going to be a scorer at best, he's not a guy you want to build around. Durant is the kind of kid you want to build around that can score, rebound and pass. Especially with the size he has. To say that he's Adam Morrison is a complete joke, and one of the most ridiculous things that I've ever heard said on this board.</div>You boviously paraphrased me wrong, or at least I meant to say, he is an adam morrison type shooter, he has an (ok fine ill change it to your liking) ABOVE average post game (though I can argue that), and tends to get lazy and shoots when he could have passed it etc. Obviously I dont watch as much NCAA games as you guys (maybe 30-40 only per season) and I didnt watch him all that much. But what I did watch was when his team lost a close one to a team I forgot (eithier Texas Tech or LSU I think) and he just shot 3 after 3 after 3 and got barely any points in the 4th, he got real lazy down the stretch, and his best play in the 4th was really a couple of assists. He was jacking up NBA threes for no reason and missed a couple of key shots late in the game which would have made a differance. Anyways my point is, this kid has a TON of growth to further his developement in the NBA, and I think he could drive it a bit, instead of shooting a ton like Morrison. I never commeneted on his defence or shot blocking, rebounding or whatever.

This guy will be an integral part of our future, whether it be as option 1, option 1a (like Josh Howard to Dirk... we just don't have our Dirk), or a 2nd option. As for the Oden-Durant question: with the way this team is playing, and Iggy's continued improvement, we are playing our way out of the Oden-Durant sweepstakes.</div>HAHA that is why your not a gm. And why not depends what you get man. He will not be option #1 if we wanna contend for a title at some point. And exactly we are playing our way out of Durant/Oden, and that is the stupidest thing we can do a side of what was done by trading AI in the first place. Trade Miller he is only messing are chances up at Oden/Durant damn.
Either of them would be fantastic. Both have huge upside and will be tremendous players in the league. I think I would rather want Oden just because I believe it is easier to build around a dominant center. But if we don't have the option of getting Oden I would be fine with Durant.

But like you said centers like Oden are hard to come by very rare. And are easy to build around cause of how big they are, and the space he takes up in the paint.
