My biggest fear with Lopez is that he's always injured....every season it seems. I wouldn't trade Aminu and Meyers for him for that reason more than any...and people forget how much defense Aminu brings to the table..he's our best defender by far
Scratch any trade ideas involving Vonleh...he's going to beast this season..looked great tonight against Phoenix
Ricky Rubio would be my second choice target after DMC. Livingston was a HUGE reason for their run, Rubio is a rich man's Livingston. Move Crabbe to SF and run a three guard rotation of Dame/CJ/Rubio. But I do know it'd be near impossible for two reasons: 1) TV money - Rubio's agent for sure wants him a starter somewhere 2) Do we have the pieces? Crabbe's kicker makes it even tougher to put together an acceptable package.
He'll have more trouble shooting over Evan Turner and Mo Harkless than CJ ...I think that was a weakness we addressed with Turner
We'd have to get been more salary so might as well take Garrett Temple and go with this: Lillard / Napier McCollum / Temple Harkless / Turner Aminu / Davis Cousins / Plumlee / Ezeli
Yep giving up every power forward on the roster and taking a center to take our centers toll to 4 players makes perfect sense.
Would anyone entertain Noel and Covington for Leonard and Crabbe? 76ers are apparently looking to shop Noel to the Celtics for Olynyk, plus they need a starting shooting guard. I love Crabbe and wish he could start, but he's not going to be a starter here. Leonard, assuming he keeps getting better, is pretty much what Olynyk is. Trade would make sense for both teams, and we would create more cap space to extend Plumlee and Noel this summer. Eventually, I'd like to see a future blazer front court that starts Vonleh and Noel. Or, if Vonleh starts showing star potential and the Kings still aren't in the playoffs next year, we could package Vonleh plus Aminu, our own pick and Cleveland's pick for Demarcus. A starting lineup of Lillard/McCollum/Harkless/Cousins/Noel plus a bench with Turner and Plumlee would certainly be a top 4 seed. A Harkless/Cousins/Noel frontline would also be a lot better defensively than what we had last year. Even without trading for Cousins, I would be very interested in bringing Noel onto the team. His presence on defense is huge and his offensive game is getting better, as he was starting to get his jumpshots to fall in games last year.
